Street art

This is my favourite  period of the year! The summer has just started, temperatures are not too high yet, long lazy days and new interesting discovers are waiting for me...( or, at least this is my feeling! )

I like strolling about, with no purpose in mind...

...I am not working at the moment ( on holidays for a while!)

The other day in the city,  were doing some works. The works were taking place in the very center of Turin and they had been hidden behind a wall.On the wall there were some pictures

I found it was a nice idea to keep the city attractive and tiny

the pictures looked  intersting and  I took my weekly photos.
A plain dress with a turtle neck,  for me this time

( today I forgot my earrings at home and perhaps a contrasting necklace would have been nice, but I am afraid that the relaxed atmosphere of holidays has influenced my style! )

  1. Lucky you! Easy chic look and the dash of colour is great. You could try a long necklace or big earrings.
The bag is by Furla, right? My daughter has it in a different colour and it can be used in both ways.
    Enjoy your leave, Dan!

    1. Yes, that is a Furla bag! You have a good eye, Annette! :-) I overuse that bag as it adds a nice touch to many neutral outfits... the inside is purple, but to tell the truth I use almost always the red side...

  2. I enjoy the simplicity and tone of this chic summer dress. Your pretty bag is such a nice compliment to this great summer outfit. Enjoy your time away from work Dan. Interesting place to take your pictures this week.

    1. Thanks Ann. The street art is interesting, isn't it? My dress has an undefinable colour which is neither green nor gray but probably a mix of both...having a lot of spare time seems to be a luxury nowadays! I have so many projects...
      p.s.
I thank you very much for still reading my blog and commenting! And if you ever will come to Italy...

  3. Dan, you look effortless and lovely in this simple dress. A perfect dress for strolling around. I love art walks. Many of the smaller communities host them along with wine. It always makes for a nice summer evening.

  5. I always grab a pair of jeans if I go for comfort, but this is the third time you have shown us that a dress is just as easy. Even better, because it is more airy and doesn't pinch anywhere. This is a great versatile dress. Like a little black dress you can have so many variations with it. With cardigans, scarves, necklaces, blouses, jackets... You name it.
I just would never be able to "do" a town in heels. And these black ones my friend are still "heels" to me.
    Nice that street art.

    1. I like jeans, but I find them so uncomfortable! Too tight, too hot... :-) that's why I don't often wear them! Airy is the right word to describe dresses! After seeing my photos, I have thought that I should add some more accessories to my outfit which I find a bit too simple!
My suede sandals are the perfect shoes for a day in town...and my favourite ones in summer...( Del Carlo is the king of comfort!! )

  6. The artwork is really interesting and your dress is the perfect contrast for the bright colors in them. Another dress that looks very comfortable too!

  8. Fantastic art show! Your grey dress is very flattering on you. I think because of the neckline you don't really need a necklace, but I'm like you. I look at the photos afterwards and wish I had more jewelry on.

  9. Hi, Joni! I find it so cute that women who live very far away share similar attitudes!!

  10. Dear Dan, very intersting place to take your pictures. Your dress is very pretty, i like the cut of it and the bag is a perfect color splash for your outfit. Dear Dan, you look beautiful, even without your earriings. ;)
    Enjoy your free time.

  11. It's a strange feeling, Cla...I usually wear earrings, and if I don't, feel at ease! Probably people who know me don't even realize if I have them on or not!

  12. I completely adore this time of the year as well - same with the very tail end of summer/start of fall in a couple of months. You can pick and choice for so many parts of your wardrobe and get to enjoy long hours of sunlight coupled with the generally happy mood the fills the warmer parts of the year.

Isn't it so weird when you leave the house without earrings on? I suddenly feel super self-conscious and like everyone knows and are going to say something to me about it (highly unlikely, I know!!!). Many years ago, when I used to work outside of the home, I'd even carry a spare pair in my handbag just in case I forgot, that way I'd always be covered (usually faux pearls or plain hoops, something that would go with pretty much any outfit regardless of style or colour palette).

You look wonderful and are certainly rocking a relaxed, summery vibe with the chicest dose of Italian charisma to it.

Big hugs & happy Monday wishes,
    ♥ Jessica

  13. Dear Jessica you have just suggested me something I won't forget...an extra pair of earrings in the purse is a great idea! Getting some good advice ... isn't it another advantage of blogging?
