Real or fake?

Is there anything more beautiful than flowers?

If real roses are among my favourites

I must admit that nowadays fake ones are at least as beautiful as real ...

And, what about these bunch of  tulips?
Last Sunday I saw a stand that was selling every kind of ( synthetic ) flowers and   was tempted to buy some for my sitting room ...

It was a warm day here. One of those days which reminds you that the summer is near...
I took out one of my light weight dresses, but since I  believed it hardly was going to be a very hot day, I decided to bring  also a  jacket ( the same  I had in my last post...I never really trust the weather forecasts, do you? )

Luckily, at least  I wore a pair of sandals ...

...because it turned out to be a very hot day!

Do you have fake flowers at home? They don't need water or care and last forever.
But there isn't life in them and  no change is possible ...
besides, they have no perfume.

... At the end I decided not to buy ...

    1. Yes, there are! Sometimes it's difficult guess if they are real flowers or fake ...at first sight, of course!

  2. Love the colour of the dress and all the accessories you used in this look: the belt, the shoes and the bag. Elegant as always! I do have a few artificial plants at home, mostly because my cats tend to eat the real ones, haha!

  4. There are certainly some convincing fake flowers around these days, and the upside is that they don't wilt and will therefore be better value for money, the downside of course being that they do not smell. I have a bunch fake plastic tulips at home, but they are more of a joke: they have fairy lights in them ;-) I love the colour of your dress and it looks really nice with the belt. You are looking elegant as always, Dan. xxx

  5. I have some fake flowers that are made of wood, they are unique. What is nice is you can use scented oils on them to make them smell like real roses. Unfortunately mine are looking pretty tired, they need replaced.

Love the outfit, and I see you are carrying one of my favorite bags in your collection!

  6. I used to HATE fake flowers but have grown to love them. I often use them in displays in my house and I have part of my office wall covered in them.

Too often nowadays even the "real" flowers no longer have a scent when bought at the store. They have often sacrificed the scent for the longevity of the flower when genetically modifying it.

Send some of that sunshine my way please!

    1. I always stop to see the plants when I go to the supermarket and often buy flowers... I would fill the courtyard of the building where I live !!
      P.s.
I started being a fan of flowers only a few years ago ...

  8. Your shoes are fabulous! And I love the floral belt..especially in a post about flowers. I agree, I prefer real flowers because of their scent. And they do open and bloom and then fade away...which is a much more realistic view of all things life, right?

  9. Looking elegant as always. Your pumps are very similar to a pair of patent leather ones I have... Great minds think alike haha. That bit of lace peeping out of your dress at the top is very sexy.
As for fake flowers... I have been at the pay desk of the flower shop two times, thinking I was buying real flowers. Andcthey turned out to be fake...I still prefer real ones.

    1. The lace is the slip which I wear when a dress has a too large neckline. It was a great pick as it is nice when peeping out ...
Great minds always think alike! Yes, but...let's hope... not to "think" too much next August!!! :-)

No I do not trust the weather forecasters either, I always carry a sweater or scarf.
Nothing is more beautiful that flowers, but I do have some old faux flowers that were my moms, they are small and I have them in an alabaster vase of hers, so I am thrilled with them. It brings me closer to her memory each time I see them.
    You look beautiful Dan!
