Black and white iin my a classic and always works...do you wear it? This is my version of it today : a plain A-line skirt and a sweater
and my black bag ( already posted last week )
I don't usually wear black as I find it means a too severe look at my age, and generally prefer gray or blue ... ( I have also read an interview in which Armani said the same )
Fratelli Rossetti
dan
To add some colour, two necklaces ...
When you haven't time to mix and match, or, simply, aren't in the mood ... an easy combination of colours!
And a pair of Fratelli Rossetti can make the outfit!
( there are big news in my life, I will tell you ... soon! )
Nice outfit, everything looks great together. The shoes are my favorite though, I like that style and color. Looks like spring is trying to get started?!
ReplyDeleteI am afraid that we have to wait for enjoying the Spring: temperatures are low and only have a very pale sun at the moment... :-(
DeleteYou look gorgeous! Have a beautiful Tuesday dear! <3
ReplyDeleteThank you! A beautiful week to you too ...
DeleteI do wear black and white occasionally. This classy combination can look rather interesting. Love your look today - simple, elegant, beautiful. The skirt is amazing as well as pattern tights.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I don't often wear black and white either...but, when I am at a loss for ideas about what to wear...well, I know that it works!
DeleteA very sophisticated look. I like it that the texture of the skirt is so different. Together with the tights and beautiful shoes, it adds interest to the outfit. Personally I would not have been able to resist using a brighter necklace. As I love contrasts. Especially black is such a good stage for any bright colour. But your necklace with more earth colours keeps the outfit sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteGreetje
You are right about the necklace, I could try to add a brighter one and see how the outfit looks...
DeleteIt is just what you aim for. Brighter is not necessarily better. See how you feel.
DeleteI love the way your necklace pulls all of the neutrals together! I look very unattractive in patterned stockings but you look beautiful! And your handbag? To die for...
ReplyDeleteWhy torture us? Give us your big news soon :)
Thanks, Dana! About the news I am waiting they become real before telling...a little more time!
Deletegreat and elegant look! kisses.

I am glad that you like!
DeletePreciosa your skirt and delicious your version of black and white.
ReplyDeleteYou are elegant and distinguished. Two things hard to find together.
Your bag, love it, that is fine and appears to have a very smooth skin.
kisses
I like wearing that skirt for its A-line and the fabric of two different colours. At a close up it seems
Deleteto have many little knots...it's very cute!
Yes, I agree that gray and blue are very, very flattering on you...but still, you look sophisticated and chic as ever wearing black Dan!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear the news!
Thanks, Sue! I will reveal my news before long ... just the time to be sure that everything is real!!
DeleteDan,another wonderful combination, this is such an interesting skirt and is perfect with black jumper.Your necklace and those shoes and bag the perfect finishing touches.Look forward to your news.
ReplyDeleteI hope that everything will go on well so I will be able to tell you about the details...
DeleteVery chic as usual! Not so much into black either, though I'm suprised to find quite a few in my wardrobe. They're mostly plain rollnecks though or with quirky prints or design to break the darkness. Love your necklaces! Where are they from? :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you like the necklaces. I made them myself and own a huge number in ( almost ) every colour!!
DeleteDan,
ReplyDeleteI love the combo of textures in this outfit. The skirt and stocking especially! The necklaces are such pretty add-on. I can not wait to hear the news!

Thick stockings are my favourite in winter:cozy and warm!!
DeleteI love this outfit, simple and elegant. And I really love that bag! I'm always on the lookout for a new work bag... I don't wear black and white, it doesn't suit me (my face needs colour, otherwise I look sick), but I love the simplicity of it.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is very simple. There is something so beautiful and perfect in the simplicity...
DeleteDear Dan, you look so lovely in this outfit! The A-line skirt is amazing and the shoes are beautiful. Exactly that kind of shoes I love so much. Sometimes black and white is perfect to highlighten cute accessories, your tights and your jewellry e.g.

The kind of shoes I am wearing are called "Mary Jane" in Italy. I was looking a pair for months as I love them too. Besides I find they look perfect either with short or long skirts ... and also with trousers!
DeleteI do wear a lot of black and white because it's so easy. I recently was gifted with a zebra cardigan and that really pulls it all together. I really like that skirt! Debbie @ ilovemylemonadelife.com
ReplyDeleteHi, Debbie! Your zebra cardigan surely can be matched to several skirts...a key piece very versatile!
ReplyDeleteTaki styl jest zawsze elegancki. Piękne buty i biżuteria. Pozdrawiam serdecznie.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting, Barbarossa!
DeleteElegance and class! That describes YOU my dear Dan! I have added many colourful outfits to my wardrobe but I still love black and white. Your stocking are beautiful! I bought the same ones in fall - made in ITALY!!
ReplyDeleteYour photos look like spring, quite a contrast from my new post. The photos of my pink coat were taken today. Have a look at our miserable winter!

There are many Italian brands ( Calzedonia, Yamamay, Goldel lady ... ) which produce similar stockings. I am a fan of them as they add a nice touch to the outfit, besides...they also are warm and cozy!
DeleteDespite low temperatures, the weather here is not bad... I have just glanced through your photos...quite a difference!!
So so chic. I happen to love black. Honestly this is classic perfection.
ReplyDeleteOh Connie, thanks!!!
