Another case of ... personalization!

Last week I was wearing a pair of bottle green sandals. Today I want you to know how they were born.

They had a large suede ribbon to be tied around the ankle...

I  changed a bit their look with a leather string.
Changing things  is something I very often do and  usually call ...
" personalizing  items !"

I really can't avoid it...

Of course I can wear my sandals with their original ribbons if I like.

Do you do the same?

  1. Dan, I love how you created two completely different shoe looks with one simple add one! So clever! Love it both ways!

  2. I like your personalized shoes! The shoes are beautiful! Unfortunately, I'm not very good at changing shoes and clothes - I don't sew, and I'm not very "crafty"...

    1. I hadn't thought of the storage space! You noticed a very practical side of the matter!! ( an extra reason for "personalizing"! )

  9. Very good idea Dan! I have a pair of sandals that came with changeable straps, great for travelling because I can have three different looks: black, nude and pink. Someday I'll do a post of all three but I did a post about the black ones here ...

  10. Great personalization!!! Love it. This way you have two pairs of shoes. I never do this unless the manufacturer has already thought of such thing like with my yellow sandals. I sometimes do it out of necessity. For instance add a strap to a shoe because they don't stay on my feet.
I should personaliize more as you get more out of your wardrobe.
You look elegant as you always do..

    1. Personalizing adds a touch of unicity to your style and is fun. For me it is an irresistible temptation ...
But, as it's getting hotter and hotter here ... I don't know if I will be able to stay elegant long!! :-)

  13. I love to personalise things too Dan. I recently bought a beautiful velvet coat and changed all the buttons to lovely floral ceramic ones to really put my own stamp on it. I love green so these green sandals really appeal to me. And I like both ways you have shown them - clever you!
