Ferragosto


National holiday yesterday in Italy.
 (15th of August recalls the  Roman emperor Augusto's holidays )
Most Italians enjoyed the day on the  beach..
I wasn't an exception! 


Sunshine, blue sky and the sea in front of me ...


... colourful buildings at my back.


Cotton light weight beach dress without jewels.
I don't wear jewels in very hot days, ( do you? ) .
 Not comfortable,
there will be plenty of time in cold seasons! 


In any case, my dress, has a little bow as front decoration!

I spent the day sunbathing, swimming and and then comfortably placed in the shadow,
 

sipping my favourite drink ...

    Wow! You look stunning and so does this beach community! I love the bright colors and the white sand. I think the red and white cabana striped umbrellas are the perfect backdrop for everyone's dream Italian getaway. I'm happy for you that you were able to indulge in beach time at such a gorgeous spot.

      This is where I am spending the summer ... it is not a famous touristic place but yes, I think it is "very Italian" ... I am sure you would like it though...what you call sand is a beach of little stones!!! A bit less comfortable for my back... :-)

    Ah.. heaven where you are. Your beautiful white summer dress is very sexy, a little see-through haha. In The Netherlands the summer has returned, so we are enjoying sunshine and beach as well. Just another week and two days my dear.

      I have a new tab which takes wonderful photos and I enjoyed shooting details of the place. The strong light and the vivid colours made the photos more beautiful...I am glad to read that you have a nice weather too...

      My drink is a simple sparkling water with a slice of lemon! Is there a best drink when you are thirsty?? :-)

    Lovely in your white dress, cool and comfortable for the beach. The beach looks inviting , although I'm not sure about the pebbles instead of sand.The town also has such character. Enjoy your holiday time.

      Pebbles aren't as comfortable as sand, but, on the other side have sand everywhere on the body can be annoying! As I spend a lot of time there, I learned how stay lying on pebbles without hurting me too much!! :-)

    Looks like a wonderful place to be! I agree with the not wearing jewelry when the weather is hot, not only does it end up stuck to you, but I also worry about the damage it could cause to the jewelry pieces.
