Back to work and ... a nice idea!

Here I am, in my small city, with a lot of memories of my holidays

back to my daily routine

trying to get used to the idea that the summer is almost over...

Luckily, temperatures are still quite high here, so I can keep on wearing my sandals and my ( new ) white bag, which I have bought with Greetje ( see the last post )

As routine for me also means to spend more time at home, two days ago I decided to fix my necklaces in a better way ( they tend to tie themselves up to each other if kept  in a box )

I have bought some nice hooks and have nailed them on the door of a wall wardrobe.

Now, my favourite jewelry is ready to be worn!

And I can quickly find what I want to wear ... also in the morning when I am in a hurry!!

  2. A great idea to keep the necklaces untangled and ready to wear! I'm trying to enjoy the last few days of summery weather although today is much cooler. Lovely sandals!

  3. Nice white bag, but I really like your denim blazer. I've been searching for one just like that.

I have far too many necklaces as well. This is a good way to organize them.

  4. You're looking sharp !
Those are some great hooks to hang your necklaces. I have a problem, too many necklaces, so I would probably need at least 20 hooks-

  5. Thanks, Lorena! Two hooks have a nice little mirrow and are very pretty! I have hung only my favourite necklaces, those I am wearing more at the moment...

  6. What bold, beautiful hooks. The ram's horns inspired one in particular really jumps out at me. It would suit a rustic Canadian cabin as well as it does a chic Italian abode. I store many of my necklaces on my small hooks, too. I couldn't imagine not keeping them that way at this point. It's so, so much handier than a box, tray, pouches or most other methods where, as you pointed out, they're so apt to tangle.

    1. I had the idea of hanging the necklaces because I realized I wasn't using them less and less...can you believe? I didn't have time to look into the box before going to work!

  7. I love your new bag. It is beautiful. Skin sacks have always loved me and yours seems soft and pretty.
The hooks for the Cabinet and collars are a great idea.
They prevent that they click and while they decorate

  9. I like your denim jacket with your dress and your white bag. I know what you mean by wanting to still wear sandals while we can. Its still quite hot in Los Angeles as well.

  16. Love this look, Dan! A shift dress paired with a blazer always look classy!

I store my necklaces in a similar way and have got several white "shabby style" hooks in my bedroom.

  18. Lovely look Dan, you look so elegant. And all these things go so well together. I would not have combined this. Which makes you a better stylist than me. (I already knew that haha.)
