Hi! My weekly post comes a little late because of the annoying heat of last days!
( it made impossible enjoy a day in the open air )
but today I am ready for a walk in search of something... cute to post!
As some of you know, Turin is the city where I studied and where I often go for many reasons...
Probably it's not very famous abroad, but it's lovely and if you slow down the step and you look around, reveals all its hidden beauty!
In a nice courtyard I discover a tiny shop of handmade bags
( my huge Aquascutum bag, still looks new, so I didn't buy another one )
I was wearing the flats I have posted a couple of weeks ago.
I am sooooo used to wear high heels that I felt odd in flats!
but at least...my t-shirt with printed birds was in perfect harmony with the place!
:-)
Your skirt looks exactly like my Anthro dress! http://suzannecarillo.com/can-you-wear-cute-dresses-over-40/
ReplyDeleteI love the whole outfit! Please just pop it all in my closet.
bisous
Suzanne
I would love your dress! And ... I have just seen your fantastic gingham new skirt!!
ReplyDeleteLovely as always dan :) Do you have Instagram? Start one if you don't so you can post more of your outfits, shoes, bags, and looks, and reach more audience. I remember you liked seeing me in one of my posts. I post more fashion-y stuff and some photos of myself in my Instagram account. If you ever get the chance, my account is called chinwagsandtittletattles. Hope to see you there :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have Instagram yet. The fact is that my blog needs a lot of care and I am not sure I could find extra time for the net at the moment ...but surely I will glance at your photos as...I am very curious!!!
DeleteThank you for this mini photo-tour, such beautiful little corners! You look so pretty, love the t-shirt, what a lovely print! And very nice necklace, too!
ReplyDeleteThe necklace is made of wood beads, so, despite of their size, it is quite light!
DeleteWhat great pattern mixing! I know what you mean about the flats....I was so used to heels at work, but now I can change from one to another easily!! jodie

Can you? Then, there is hope for me too!! :-)
DeleteA beautiful look, Dan, I love the skirt and shirt. Elegant and simple, perfect.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Josep! A classic combination very often is my favourite...
DeleteLooking stylish, elegant and totally cool. Quite an accomplishment in this heat. You even look good in flat shoes wow. I cannot do that. By the look of it, your feet have a high arch. That helps a lot. I have flat feet and a low arch... Bummer.
ReplyDeleteI love all items of your outfit. Is this the similar skirt you talked about in your comment on my Marella skirt?
Love
Greetje
Yes, this is the skirt...It's Marella's as well, but of a previous collection as I have bought it at the outlet. I bought because I remembered how beautiful you looked in yours! ( As you can see, we keep on influencing each other! )
DeleteYou have got a full competence on foot arch! I have always tought that there was only one kind of it! :-)
Turin looks to have some really interesting areas. You look as stylish as ever , even in the Summer heat. I love your skirt and the top with the birds is so sweet. I know they aren't your usual heels but those flats are just as elegant.
ReplyDeleteYour comment encourages me to wear my flats!! And about Turin...never tought to visit it??? I know, I know, it's a long fly...but perhaps in the future...
DeleteI have a real fondness for anything with a bird themed print, so I am loving that shirt! Those first photos of the doorway are beautiful too. When I hear Turin, I think of the shroud. It's somewhere I have always wanted to go as well as Florence. One of these days!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to read that you know about Turin! It isn't very famous abroad!
DeleteIt can sound unbelievable but...I haven't seen the shroud yet!
If you plan a journey in Italy...please, remember to let me know!!!
Simple yet delightful pattern mixing. Neither the skirt or the top are overpowering each other. And that necklace is really stunning.

Thank you! I am trying new combinations for my skirt, but that t-shirt seems to be the best choice...
DeleteI love the bird shirt and the striped skirt is so pretty with it, I love the tee mix with apretty skirt
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with Turning Heads Tuesday!

I don't often wear a skirt but, it's surprising to see how many different outfits you can create just changing the upper part!!

Despite I live in a small city in the surroundings, I like considering Turin as "my city"... it is in some way... very like me!!
DeleteI just love your photos Dan! Thank you for sharing your lovely city with us! You look beautiful, and of course, always elegant! I like the chevron stripes on the skirt and your T-shirt is delightful!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
♥ carmen
Thanks, Carmen! And a happy weekend to you too...
DeleteWhat a pretty outfit. The skirt and flats really stand out. The necklace is nice, too.
ReplyDeleteA skirt is a very versatile piece of clothing and it's easy to have a different look only changing tops and accessories! I am glad that you like! Thanks for commenting...
