It was a cold day last Sunday
but I still had to buy the last presents and then take photos for the post
so I made my way to the city with hopeful intentions
But, in the craziness of Christmas time things turned out to be different ...
So I got my photos at home
( with bad light which of course means bad photos )
Gattinoni
I was wearing a long dress, the jacket a warm coat
and a pair of my booties.
Plus a big pair of earrings
( I am trying to make something like ... a D&G style ! )
I think that I have a lot to try yet, but they are lightweight and colourful.
I promise good photos next time !
BEST WISHES ...
How fab to see two Santas on Harleys. I love your earrings...had no idea they were D&G esque though!
ReplyDeleteHi,Fiona! Many thanks for your comment. For the earrings I got inspired by the 2013 D&G Summer collection:colourful and very Sicilian style!!
ReplyDeleteDo you live in Sicily?? I adore Young Montalbano!
DeleteI live in the North West of Italy next to the city of Turin but my father is from Sicily. It's a place that I know well ...
DeleteI am surprised that you know Montalbano! I love the serie...I only wonder how they could translate Sicilian idioms...
Beautiful dress, looks like tapastrY! Happy Holidays
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking with Turning heads tuesday

Yes, something like tapestry...
DeleteHappy Holidays to you too!!
I've never seen Santas on motorcycles, Dan! I so hear what you're saying on taking photos inside, though. Those earrings are lovely, and how cute is that reindeer! xxx
ReplyDeleteThose Santas were funny and I was quick enough to take a photo of them!! :-)
DeleteYou look fabulous Dan! I love the earrings---you are so amazing how you just decide to make jewelry and boom---there it is!!

I spend a lot of time observing famous (or just beautiful) jewelry on the net or in real and then try to make it my way ... a relaxing way to spend spare time. I am glad that you like!
DeleteHa ha! I like the moose wearing the sweater : )

Suzanne
It is funny! :-)
DeleteDear Dan. You are so sweet to take the time to prepare this lovely post in the midst of a hectic holiday week. I wish you and your husband a very happy and healthy New Year. I hope Santa is very good to you!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, Rebecca! I decorated my home, decided the menu for Christmas day and invited my dear ones...isn't it the best gift??
DeleteI wish you a very Merry Christmastime ...
I am with Suzanne.. the moose is adorable. And you are elegant as always. A very beautiful dress, with or without the jacket. Still adding the modern touch with your booties. Well done. The earrings are indeed resembling the D&G ones. I think yours are better, more stylish, less Caribbean. Which is better for winter. Is the dress black or green? Is the lace at the V-neck from the dress or are you wearing something lacy underneath?
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and to V, my dear friend.
Greetje
The dress has an undefined colour between gray and green and I wearing a silk petticoat underneath with a beautiful lace on the neckline...
DeleteI wish you a sweet Christmastime ...
I know what you mean about indoor photography Dan. I avoid it all costs and would even put up with windy or dull weather instead of the gloom of indoors! Your dress is really lovely, and I like your shoes too - it's a cute outfit. The Santa's on motorbikes is a great shot!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful Christmas x

You must be a good photographer to get quality photos indoors, and I surely am not!! I should follow your habit and take pictures only in the open air...
DeleteBest wishes to you Anna!
Merry Christmas! I love that moose, so cute! And sometimes we can't help but have to do photos indoors, darned weather.
ReplyDeleteHaha ... the darned weather doesn't help bloggers!!! :-)
DeleteI wish you a fantastic and happy Christmastime dear Flo!
Looking your usual stylish self, Dan in your pretty dress. You are clever, the earrings are just lovely.Love the reindeer in his jumper.
ReplyDeleteWishing you joy at Christmas. xx
With very low temperatures even mooses need some extra warmth!! :-)
