On heels again ...

Wonderful weekend for me. I am just back from the seaside where I I have been sunbathing on the beach!
When back at home, I immediately changed my  clothes and went out for the photos.
Unfortunately I am not very good at planning and didn't have any stored photos at handy!

Luckily, in my small city there are nice places which provide good backdrops!

The only problem is represented by cobblestones that are not the best if you are wearing heels!

Never mind!  I have been posting flats very often recently ...
High heels remain my very favourites shoes so, I decided to take the risk!!
:-)

Silk black and white shirt

And a big velvet heart decorated with coral beads as a necklace

A last photo and then I can go safely home!
( when a comfortable sofa is waiting for me )

Have a joyful, high heel week!

  1. Loving the bold gingham-type checked shirt (very much en vogue just now) and those gorgeous shoes. I agree, heels and cobbles are not a wonderful combination. The backdrop of houses look so pretty in the late sun.

  2. I love these heels, Dan! In fact I'm on the look out for some white shoes for the summer, so thanks for the inspiration.
And my theory is, that it may be hard to walk in them on certain places---but it's good for your balance, right??

  3. Your shirt and trousers look great. I also love your white shoes even though the heels may not be too practical on the cobbles!

  4. Dan ,
I just adore those white heels. I know what you mean about walking in high heels while you are on a cobblestone road. It is treacherous. I learned that in Portugal. I love your silk gingham check shirt. You look so chic! So glad you had a great weekend!

    1. Thanks, Elle. It was my second time on the beach this year. After a loooong winter I was eagerly waiting for a long weekend at the seaside!

  5. What a lovely town you live in! The colours of those houses are so pretty. There are quite a few cobbled streets in Antwerp too, which indeed can be quite tricky when wearing heels. It hasn't stopped me from wearing heels, though. I love the ones you are wearing which are perfect with your outfit. Looking chic, as always. xxx

  7. Sounds like you had a nice time away.

I love your outfit! The black and white top is beautiful and so are the heels. Pretty necklace, too.

    1. My bag is a Baggy. One of my favourite even though I have to admit that it's a bit too small and I find it difficult to comfortably carry all my stuff!

  9. High heels and cobblestones are a tricky combination but when the heels are as gorgeous as these they deserve to be seen.Your black and white check shirt and black pants are the perfect combination with your heart necklace.

  10. You are so dedicated, Dan, I would have immediately collapsed on the sofa after the beach! But I'm thankful you delayed your sofa visit for us as that's a pretty cute outfit and I love it with those elegant heels. Hope you didn't catch a heel in the cobblestones.

  12. Love the simplicity of the black and white! I see you still have that bag, love it. I don't do heels anymore, had to give them up after I broke my ankle and tore a ligament, I just don't feel steady on them anymore. I do miss them at times though!

  14. Isn't it the right combination between chic and relaxed? And if high heels remain your very favourite shoes... you must be sure, you are perfect with them!
