I was waiting for something I had bought a few days ago...
...I don't know about you, but I am always a bit anxious to receive what I buy online...
...to cut a long story short, yesterday it arrived!
And, when I opened a little cute box, I saw a pair of delightful silver earrings made by hand in Sicily! ( Nubia Creazione Gioielli )
Since the previous photo isn't too clear, I tell you that, on the squared volcanic stone, they painted a sicilian car which is similar to this one and was often used in past times to carry things
Thank you, mr. Salvo, to have given me the opportunity to wear this little piece of Sicily ( where my dad was born many years ago )
In the photos I am wearing a linen, cream colour dress ( Luisa Spagnoli ), one of my Furla bags and a pair of Ferrè sunglasses
And, by the way...tomorrow will officially start my holidays!
Oh how funny, we are on holiday at the same time.
ReplyDeleteLovely earrings. They suit you so well. And the dress is beautiful. A winner. What can I say? Every inch a lady. Have a nice summer holiday Dan.
We surely have more than something in common, Greetje! If you happen to plan a journey to Italy. . .

DeleteOh you bet yah... If I come to Italy, you will be the first person whom I will contact.
DeleteDefinitely - I know just what you mean about always feeling a touch leery when you order something online. Living in (a small town in) Canada, I order the bulk of my vintage (and crafting) items from the States (and to a lesser extent, other countries such as the UK, too), because the selection is quite limited here, and tend to hound the mailbox when I'm waiting for something important to arrive. Thankfully I've not had too many parcels arrive damaged (or not at all!) over the years, but the risk is always there (but, ultimately, I think it's a risk that's worth it).
ReplyDeleteSuch a chic, fantastic ensemble - you look so very lovely, dear lady!
♥ Jessica
Me too live in a small town, and I know how difficult it is to find special items! Luckily there is Torino that is very near, and Milano which is 45 minutes from Torino by train. For everything else there is internet, of course!
DeleteThank you Jessica, for your kind comment...
Oh I run to the mailbox on a daily basis, not so much out of worry, more out of anticipation! Lovely treasures you've got in the post recently!

I love those earrings, and I think I will be wearing them all the summer long...
DeleteThose earrings are so pretty, I would have been stalking the mailman as well. Have a great holiday!
ReplyDeleteYou would have been stalking the mailman... :-) ...so funny!
DeleteI haven't planned anything for my holidays. All I want is relax, sunbathing, and of course...blogging!
Dan, the dress is beautiful, and earrings look fantastic. You have Sicilian blood, is superb.
ReplyDeleteYes, Josep,I admit it: Sicilian blood in my veins!
ReplyDeletePretty earrings..Enjoy your holiday..? Doing anything special?
ReplyDeleteNothing really special about my holiday. The idea is to enjoy the sea, my spare time and blogging!! ( Is there anything better? )
DeleteWow, gorgeous from head to toe! That dress is stunning and the earrings are lovely...with a little sentimental value to remind you of where your father was born.
ReplyDeleteI love cream/tan/white combos.
Hope you have a really nice holiday, dan.
Thanks Lisa. Holiday...the idea of having spare time to do hundreds of things...
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is stunning....really gorgeous combination. Love the neutral accessories and your jewelry is just right. You look great in white.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful holiday!

Thanks Ann, I like light colours even though in summer the light tends to make them appear more clear...
