Ponytail and... a lot to do!

I have always admired those women who can keep their hair in order when they are at the seaside...I simply can't!

And so, sooner or later, for me comes the time to tie it back in a ponytail. That is the last thing I can do in order to keep it under control!

I am wearing a cotton dress which is a very pale shade of green and has a floral pattern.

The flowers are not printed and looking at the inside of my dress you can see the different colours of threads( Laviniaturra ).

I wear it with my coral-paste earrings, a carnelian  and bamboo-coral necklace,

which you can  better see in this photo with an etnic coral and silver ring. As usual, I made the necklace myself.

With my hair tied, and my jewelry on, I spend my  afternoons  in the old village of Airole ( which is only ten km. from the sea )

where Mr. Bangio enjoys the  breeze in the old alleys, and spends his time sniffing here and there...

I like  the silence ( but cicadas make a lot of noise! )

and the old houses,

I like the hot sun among the lemon trees...

I love to spend quiet days in the Mediterranean atmoshere, and to find beads to make necklaces.
And, as you can see ... I have a lot of work to do!! ( and I will show you the results... )

  1. A ponytail is nice when it is hot. And you look sophisticated with it.
Love the dress, especially because it is not printed. Good quality dress.
I cannot be bothered to wear dresses on holiday. Exceptions granted.
You and Annette (of Lady of Style) are always wearing dresses. I admire that. Nice jewellery.
Fun to see you working with the beads.....

  2. This dress looks so pretty on you. Lovely green tone on the fabric and I appreciate that you made a necklace to match. I mostly wear dresses in the summer too. I think they are so comfortable with the heat. Looks like a peaceful place to spend some time plus create some new jewelry!

    1. Thank you, Lisa. I am spending my holiday in this quiet old village . Hot weather made it impossible to stay in my city!! Here, I am developing a real passion for necklaces!

  10. I like the ponytail in your hair, you're attractive. And I love this dress, it's beautiful, the fabric is cute, and the design, it looks great. Jewelry also is cute, you're an artist. Beautiful photos, though, as always, a little small for my taste.

  12. There is nothing in the world wrong with a classic ponytail. It's chic, practical and often very flattering to one's face, too boot. I think you look wonderfully chic in these photos, dear Dan, and I just love the jewelry you selected. I have a carved (faux) cinnabar bangle bracelet that looks a lot like your lovely earrings.
