A jump into the blue



Hello! At last the day has arrived...and I am finally  by the sea! Since I am just arrived, I am trying to be well dressed and to match accessories as usual.


But I know that little by little I will become quite different...( and you will probably notice in my next posts )


These photos have been taken  on the beach of Ventimiglia and in this cafè I was waiting for my morning coffee, wearing a blue Moschino dress...


...which I had worn with my turquoise necklace, a pair of Trussardi sunglasses with dark lenses ( the light is very strong )...


...and my low heel Sax sandals ( this is the main disadvantage of being at the sea: less high heel shoes! ).


Before leaving Torino I had the luck  to find this Malìparmi plastic bag, which is perfect at the beach!( it was a real lucky said my husband, kidding on a very serious matter! )


Yesterday I had  the courage to ask him to click me in my bathing suit and share! (  I will be surely ashamed of soon )


 And talking of men... have you ever seen such an elegant person on the beach? ( is my husband who is wearing a long sleeve shirt, white trousers and loafers  ) Men are a real mystery to me!
Mr Bangio, who sometimes follow us on the beach ( there is a public area where dogs are allowed to go, they have water an a private shower too! ), looks at us and probably here is wondering: what are they doing on the beach lying under the sun?


For the time being this is my favourite landscape!

    Ventimiglia: terrific. I have to book a holiday week this year and go there. I miss that area.
    The blue dress looks terrific on you. The necklace is a surprise to me with this dress, but a pleasant surprise. The "plastic bag" is truly a find. Very nice. And look at you in your bikini: what a great figure you have. Be proud woman, be very proud. And look around you at the beach. I am sure that will make you very happy with yourself. It always had that effect on me. I can be insecure but that vanishes at the beach. Of course as long as I compare myself to women my age, not 18 year old.

      You will go to Ventimiglia? That would be great! There are beautiful places, but I have to inform you that it is also a very caotic city! I have learnt to love also its bad side. If you need any information, please ask me. I would be very happy to help!
      As you know, I stay in Airole, in the quiet country 10km from Ventimiglia, which is full of tourists from The Netherlands at the moment. I don' t know when you are planning your joyrney, but if you happen to enjoy Autumn or Winter, I could give you the keys of my home, if you like. . .



      The necklace I have in the post is made by myself and has a ribbon at the back, so I can wear it longer or shorter. Marni (an Italian brand I love ) uses that trick, and I have copied!

      You are more than generous offering me the keys to your home. Even though I am really a stranger to you. I am touched by your confidence. I didn't know you had a house of yourself there.
      But my husband and I are planning to go to (South) England first this August or September. You never know, it might change. Although my husband is a bit strange in these things (in more than just these things, but we will not go into that now LOL). He never wants to have to say "thank you" and he feels uneasy in somebody elses home. To sleep that is. So, even though your offer is more than generous, I think we will never take you up on it. (I would.. no problem. I know I am careful with somebody elses stuff.)
      Anyway.. the trick with the ribbon I know as well. I have a few necklaces on a leather rope or a piece of string. Not the same.

    Elegant as always...I just love the beach, the water, the air...What's not to like?? Your beach doesn't look very comfy..I'm used to sand..

    The blue dress looks great on you and of course you can find a great bag that is perfect for the beach! You are looking good in a bikini. Sometimes my husband is a mystery to me too. He also is a very stylish man who won't wear shorts in any circumstance! Looks like you are having a good time!

      I ham having very pleasant days. . .despite of the heat! I don't use often that dress because it is a bit loose, but it's confortable for the beach

    Beautiful beach, beautiful blue dress, beautiful sandals. My husband is a long sleeved button up shirt type of guy too. He'll occasionally roll the sleeves up if we go for a walk and he gets really warm. Don't know why he just won't wear a short sleeved shirt in summer. ? But that's how he likes to dress so that's his perogative.

      Thank you Curra. My husband is a really sun lover, but has the habit to put his bathing suit when he is on the beach and take it off before leaving! I have never understood why!!

    Lovely seaside photos. I too, wonder what dogs think about their people laying in the sun, in the heat, on the beach, LOL. They probably think we are crazy. You look beautiful on all your photos today Dan! I love the print on your bathing suit. And, of course, the colour blue is a perfect colour for you. My husband is very comfortable in shorts, tee's, bathing trunks. Here in North America, the men tend to wear board type bathing suits that look more like shorts than swimming bottoms though.

    What a gorgeous slice of paradise on earth. The blue of that sea-kissed sky mirrors your elegant ensemble so beautifully.

    I recently thrifted a vintage necklace with the neatest little super light blue beads (for just a dollar!). They looked like cracked glass inside and are a similar colour to when ice looks blue. It's not quite as refreshing as a trip to the beach, but it does help inject a fun note of coolness into any summer look.
