Wool coat and faux fur

While I was looking at my favourite blogs the other day,

I noticed that many ladies  where still wearing light clothes such as T-shirt and shoes with no tights.

Then I looked at me and realised I had always done the whole change in my closet!!

That includes also bags, of course...

No light T-shirts left free to be worn again,

no, light shoes...I have definitely close with summer!

The main reason is probably that I suffer cold weather, and the older I am, the worse it is...

I love every season and everyone has its own advantages,

but the main disadvantage of autumn, is that you have to combine a lot of clothes together, and being elegant becomes a harder goal to reach...

I have tried to do my best this week, and now...I am waiting to see your warm outfits to be inspired!!

  1. You look gorgeaous, also in your warmer clothes, Dan! But you are so right, dressing elegant is a challenge also because of the lack of stylish heels and sandals.
I love your tights and need to have a pair like yours! Especially since I am a big fan of burgundy.
It is getting very cold and miserable here in Bavaria with some early snow in the valley by tomorrow...

    1. I need to wear warm thights when temperatures are low. So I often buy them at Calzedonia, because they have some nice colours and patterns. Burgundy is a beautiful colour : I love it too.

  2. Definitely seeing autumn in your photos. The leaves are changing colour and falling. I can not imagine you not looking elegant Dan. And today is no exception. The way you've put your outfit together is beautiful and very becoming. I have yet to switch out my footwear, but yes, it is time to start wearing closed shoes and boots. And sweaters, and coats, and scarves...

    1. Thanks dear Rebecca, I have started wearing more colorful clothes just recently ( I think that Greetje of No fear of Fashion has influenced my style! ) and I have also realized that burgundy goes well with most dark colours!

  4. I love that coat! It has been back and forth here the past couple of weeks so we are still wearing t-shirts some days and warmer things the others. I think next week is the end of it though. I changed out most of my closet already, just a few stragglers. I love autumn, but I hate what follows :(

    1. Hi Flo, I love autumn too, but I find it a little more difficoult to get ready in the morning because there are too much clothes to match together!

  5. I like everything about this outfit Dan! I like the surprise of the interesting tights. It's still warm during the days here, the mid 70's today, so no tights yet for me. Cute sweater and I adore the collar with fur and a tie. I want your shoes, so cool! Beautiful bag too, such a nice color to wear with dark clothes. Great post.

    1. Lucky woman if you don't have to wear thights yet! This year we are having some very cold days here, so no bare legs for me at the moment! My shoes are Geox ( a last year's model ). Despite the high heel, I find them very confortable...

  8. Dan. In Spain, just starting to get cold.
Hsta now had to go dressed for summer. But today I had to make the change of wardrobe.
I was all afternoon, removing a site and putting in another. Putting clothes on and removing protective covers outerwear.
    Now we're even.
I really like your jacket - coat. It seems very elegant and comfortable at the same time.
    You look beautiful

    1. The change of wardrobe is a quite hard job!! When I make it, I select the clothes that I am going to keep for the following year and the ones I want to throw away : an even harder job!!
My wool coat is soft and warm, so I wear it quite often. . .
      Enjoy the last warm days!

  10. Those are really lovely things you are wearing. I don't think you need to be afraid of winter. Most women appreciate fall and winter because they can hide "flaws" better..
    Great shoes.

PS I still have some summer photo shoots in stock. Shall I keep them till next year?

  11. Yes, there are some advantages in wearing winter clothes, but I don't feel confortable with much stuff on. . . I can' t wait to see you wearing warm clothes and especially I ask to myself : what kind of coat will you be wearing in winter?? ( you know, I am a curious person! :-)

    1. Asking after my coat is strumming my pain haha. I saw this beautiful Max Mara coat which was exactly what I was looking for. For years. But it cost € 1.309,-. Even to a big spender like me, that is too much. But I am thinking about it for months now.
To tell you the truth I was in a Max Mara shop last Friday and bought a summer coat (the mean bastxxxx don't change the price a bit. No sale for coats at MM..) with leopard print (my husband thinks it is common as in "trashy"), green skinnies with a pattern and a silk blouse with another pattern. I am bad, real bad. And I was thinking of you all the time. And our addiction to MM.

  12. How wonderful to get to see glimpses of Italy during the fall. Usually most of the photos of Italy that one sees in books, on TV, and online are of your gorgeous country during the spring and summer, whenever thing is perfectly verdant and bathed in sunlight. Fall is my favourite season - no matter the country it takes place in - and I really do love that you're sharing some of it from the Italian front with us through these pretty, stylish outfit photos.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your beautiful, uplifting blog comments today, dearest Dan. You are such a sweet, delightfully nice person to count amongst my friends.

    Un bacio,
    ♥ Jessica
