At home


A post at home today, because I have something different I  want to share : my coffee table!


I saw it in a  shop about two weeks ago. I like modern furniture, and I wanted to change my old table. But it was quite expensive and I wasn't in the mood to spend all that money.

At home I decided to have a look on the internet and, to cut a long story short, I purchased it on Amazon because they sold it at a very cheap price!!
Once more I loved the net...


...but now, let's talk about fashion!!

ALYSI - MAX MARA group

As you can see, today I am wearing a strange sweater which is made of two different fabrics : viscose ( front ) and wool ( back ).

To be honest, it isn't a sweater but  a dress. Since it is too short for my taste,  I use it on a silk skirt ...


...I love beautiful tights, and today I have chosen a pair  with a floral pattern


and I wear my silver earrings...


...a new outfit next week! ( which, for me is a very special one...)

    Dan, I love your house. That library full of books, seems perfect. And your modern table is ideal. You've managed to create a sense of home and that is a success

      Hi Curra, I am glad that you like my home. I am trying to buy some new piece of furniture recently.
      My sweater is confortable on a skirt. . . ( too short to be a dress! )

    This is the most comfortable looking ensemble Dan! But of course, you have styled is as fashionably as you always do! Great story about your table. { feet off...tee hee } I love the little dimples in the surface. I find that modern furnishings look so lovely in a period home.

      You are always very kind, Sue. I like the sweater because it is perfect in autumn . The only disadvantage is that I can't wear a jacket on it! I like mixing old and new pieces of furniture. . .

      Hi Suzanne, I have many books and the bookcase is 5 metres long. In it there are my books and my husband's. I have read nearly all of them and that has required many years! Now I generally read e-books ( since they take less room!! )

    And by the way you are looking fab in this outfit. Great idea to wear a skirt with your cool sweater, just makes it better. Do you wear it with pants too? Super shoes and tights!

      I have never worn that sweater with pants, but it is a good idea Ann, I will try it!
      The sitting room is the place where I spend most of my time at home. In it there is everything I need to relax!
      P.s.
      I remember an old post, where you were sitting on your sofa. I liked that so much!

    Your house is very nice, Dan. The coffee table is beautiful, and I like homes with many books. I really like your look, the sweater-dress is gorgeous, the color scheme is beautiful and I really like the design, but, surely, is too short to be comfortable. The stockings are cute.

      I am glad that you like it. I used to buy many books in past. Now I prefer e-books. I find it an easier way to have books at handy!

      The sweater and the skirt have a quite similar shade of colour. I like those soft colours which I wear often in cold seasons. . .

      I like modern furniture and always try to find special pieces for my home.

      And. . . ops! Perhaps for me is time to wear a pair of short distance glasses. . .in any case your outfit was very nice!

    It's a really wonderful piece! Modern, but not to the point where it won't easily overlap into classic territory over time, too. Way to bargain shop! I almost never buy something new (and sometimes vintage) without seeing if I can track down a lower price online as well.

      Hi Jessica, I like modern furniture and the coffee table is a nice piece. I needed a new one for my sitting room and. . . it was a real bargain!

    I love your coffee table. At first I thought the top was flexible because the fruit made dents. When I saw the picture of your lovely shoe on the table I got it. Fantastic concept.
    You say you love the net, but I have many shipping issues in the sense that I have to pay a lot on shipping itself and customs always charges much for duty and clearance. I am doing something wrong.
    The dress (on the skirt) is sooo lovely. It makes you look comfortable, elegant and feminine. Except for the colours such an outfit would be great for me too (creating a marvelous waist).
    I could live in your house. Easily. (You have seen the photos of my living room as well haven't you?)

      Yes, I have seen your living room and remember it was very nice!
      My coffee table has three dents to keep small objects , and probably that is why the table attracted my attention in the shop.
