Today I want to dedicate my post to Josep Maria, who has recently decided to stop posting (and whose blog, Sense corbata.../No tie..., I miss very much )
For the occasion I have decided to wear my little black dress, a red stone necklace which I made myself, a little cross body bag and my pair of Armani black booties.
Other blogger took the same decision...isn't that wonderful how the internet can allow people to get in touch and create a net of posts dedicated to a dear person?
There is an extra accessory you can't see on my coffee table...well, that isn't exactly an accessory... but, don't you think that a drop of perfume can complete an outfit, telling a lot about the person who is wearing it?
Mine is Eau legere by Bottega Veneta...
and, since I am a curious person, I am wondering now what is yours!
Dan, you're radiant and post is a real gift.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that Josep-Maria will be delighted with this tribute.
All your accessories are an elegant lady
And it's a shame not to smell the delicious aroma of the perfume because it sure puts the perfect touch.
A thousand kisses and thanks for joining the initiative.
It was a real pleasure for me to partecipate to the event, Curra! It was a so sweet idea ! Josep Maria is a dear person, and I do miss his blog...
DeleteAnd, about perfume...I haven't used one for many years now because I couldn't find one which I really loved! This one has an unique scent...
I wish I had known about Josep's blog. You look very pretty :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Glenda, Sense corbata.../No tie...was a very nice place where to meet stylish ladies!
DeleteLovely dress and well styled. This is sooo your style. Ladylike. I adore your necklace. It looks so nice!! I always knew you were good at this. And your hair is beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteMy perfume by the way, is by Shiseido and is called Zen (the yellow version).
That is a Max Mara dress (again that brand!!) ...and happy to hear that you like my hair! I am never too sure about my hair look!
DeleteI think I will smell Zen, ( so curious about it!)
Remember to try the yellow bottle. For some reason they have two scents, different colour but the same name. Strange.
DeleteGreetje
I usually don't wear black clothes, but that one was just the right occasion!

ReplyDeleteDear Dan, thank you for your participation in this initiative. I'm excited, grateful and surprised. I could never imagine this show of affection. I'm happy, because I realize that my idea was understood: talking about mature fashion, with courtesy and respect. I love your look, you are very smart. The necklace is beautiful, and your perfume is wonderful. A big hug.
ReplyDeleteThe idea was so nice and sweet and I was glad to take part in it! Your blog was a lovable place where to meet stylysh ladies, and I really loved it...and, do you believe? Every now and then I go there, just in case you hahe decided to start posting again!!

Thanks Annette! It was a special occasion, so I tried to have a different hairstyle!
DeleteVery elegant outfit Dan! A great tribute to Josep!
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, I have tried to do my best, so thanks! I consider Josep a dear blogger friend, and I have been happy to join the initiative...
DeleteHi Dan! Love your hair and you look fabulous in this pretty and elegant outfit. Such a great bag and soulful necklace. Lovely tribute to Josep and I see in the comments that he appreciated this. I don't wear perfume, I'm allergenic to so many scented items. I do like some sweet scented candles like brown sugar.
ReplyDeleteblue hue wonderland
Scented brown sugar candles sound like a delicate way to have a perfumed house... to tell the truth I haven't been wearing a perfume for years, because I didn't find one that really liked me...then I smelt Bottega Veneta and...it was love at first sight!
DeleteWhat a nice idea! And your outfit looks terrific. I agree that perfume can often be the finishing touch to an outfit. The necklace is lovely too, you make some beautiful pieces.
ReplyDeleteAs you probably remember I made many necklaces last summer, and now I have so many, to match almost every outfit!
DeleteAt the moment I love to have a drop of perfume on my pillow, I find it relaxing before sleeping...
Beautiful jewelry - you're talented! And it is a bit sad when a blog you've been following faithfully decides to stop blogging.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Lisa it is ! I loved Josep Maria posts...so inspiring! And the idea to dedicate a post to him was very sweet!
ReplyDeleteMy always gorgeous Dan, we live in a area with a mocro climat so it is about 20ºc.Pleasant with a shirt during the day.
ReplyDeleteYou are a really lucky woman, dear Sacramento! I envy you!!
ReplyDeleteA very sophisticated look and you are gorgeous!! I can almost smell you - lol - I know these wonderful tributes have made Josep-Maria very happy!!

ReplyDeleteThat was a special occasion, so I brushed up my black dress! You are such a stylish woman, so...I am glad that you like!

Thanks Rebecca, the necklace I am wearing is one of my favourite at the moment...
DeleteGorgeous scent choice! I tend to be very loyal to my scents. Once I find one I love, which isn't every day, I happily stick with it (or at least buy it time and time again) for years. In the past decade, my two go-to scents have Hypnotic Poison by Dior and Romance by Ralph Lauren, the latter of which I especially enjoy during the summer.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for both of your wonderfully sweet blog comments this weekend, dear Dan. I hope you're dong great and enjoying a marvelous start to 2014.
Big hugs from snowy Canada,
♥ Jessica
Yes , I am a loyal person too! And I like to recognized loved ones through their scent...
