I have been celebrating for some days with relatives and friends, and, as that means also long lunches and dinners ( look at my waist, do you think my coat is a bit too tight today? )...
...I decided to have something different. So I went to town and spend a morning visiting a museum
MAO is the Oriental Art Museum of Torino
For the occasion I put on my light colour dress ( Max Mara ) with a silk shirt ( Seventy )
At my back you can see the Japanese garden which is just at the entrance of the museum
Isn't this face a real beauty?
The place is a XVIII century building
Which I find as wonderful as the museum
I hope you will enjoy the visit just as I did...visiting a museum has been my way to start the new year.
Happy 2014!!!
I cannot see a single extra gramme on you waist ;-) Lovely look, I like the light colours! I have also been wearing shirts under sleeveless dresses and some posts showing that look will be up in the near future.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!
Happy New Year, Dan!

I am happy to read that no extra weight is visible after Christmas holidays! I am a fan of sleeveless dresses and I wear them in many ways: with and without shirt, with a cardigan, and changing belts to have a different look...so I am glad to know that the look will be up!!
DeleteA great way to start the New Year! You look so fashionable in such an elegant setting. And I am still loving your birthday bag :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Flo, I am using that bag very often !
DeleteNice way to start the new year awesome art and looking beautiful in that stylish coat. Thank you for visiting my blog. Happy New Year may it bring success.

Hi Jackie, and welcome to my blog! I love visiting museum if I have a little spare time...
DeleteFelice Anno Nuovo, Dana!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you Josep! Yes the museun is really wonderful, and spent a nice morning visiting it! So a quiet and timeless place!! Just what I needed...
DeleteDan.
ReplyDeleteI had not forgotten you. I was very busy and I said why not, but I follow your blog and I think still as good as ever.
The idea of going to the museum is excellent. You break the monotony and the idea of eating and eating.
You look beautiful and that dress you suits you very well.
I love the neck and coat.
kisses
Happy New Year
Hi dear Curra! I love your comments but I know that it isn't always possible to comment on every post, so don't worry! You will be always welcome here ...
DeleteI spent a very nice morning at the museum! Sometimes it's hard to find the time, but I think it's worth it... ( so relaxing!!! )
No I can't see that your coat are to tight, you look pretty small at you waist. Your dress is very nice, I like Max Mara ver much, so timeless. And it's a great Idee wear a sleeve under the dress.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year
Max Mara is one of my favourite brands, just for the reason you said:their clothes are really timeless!I am glad that you like my wearing the shirt under the dress. (you are so stylish! )
DeleteHappy New Year to you too!
Ah, the Christmas kilo...I don't see it Dan...the cream coloured dress shows a svelte figure. I love the idea of wearing winter white during the winter, and the setting, also in creams, is beautiful. Good idea to start the year with some culture!
ReplyDeleteHi dear Sue, it's nice to know that you can't see my Christmas kilo!
DeleteThe museum opened some years ago, but I had never found the time to go and visiting! Sometimes I think that blogging have a positive influence on me!!
Fortunately the extra weight does not show (or are you holding your stomach in haha). Lovely dress. I never think of buying a sleeveless dress and then putting a shirt underneath it. This is a new area for me.
ReplyDeleteYou look very nice and creamy. Like your hair too. This museum is a wonderful light and warm place to photograph, you smart devil,
That fur collar is a great piece, isn't it?
Greetje
You have got the trick, Greetje! Yes, in the photos I am holding my stomach in!! Too many panettoni ( it's the Christmas cake in Italy ) made me put on weight!
DeleteI think I will have some cappuccino-lunch in the future!
Of course I am wearing a faux fur collar...
That's such a great way to kick off the year! Our town has an exceedingly small museum (no joke, you can walk through it all in under five minutes), and though I love it and the memories of spending many an afternoon there as a child, it would be great to have a large museum or art gallery around these parts so that I could follow your lead and inject an extra big dose of culture into the beginning of 2014. Who knows, maybe one year we'll be down in Vancouver for this holiday (which is about 4.5 hours away) and I can do just that there.
ReplyDeleteTons of hugs & countless happy New Year wishes, beautiful lady!
♥ Jessica
Walking in a museum and seeing all those ancient expressions of art is one of the more relaxing things on earth! I do hope you could go to Vancouver... or come to Italy sooner or later! (wouldn't it be wonderful?? )
DeleteMany wiishes for a Wonderful 2014!
Hi Dan! Let me first begin that you look very pretty and so appropriate for a day at the museum. Don't you just love visiting them...they are so therapeutic. I adore the gray suede booties.
ReplyDeleteThanks Glenda, we are both booties fans, aren't we??
DeleteThanks, I am glad that you like it!

DeleteThis light colored dress is speaking to me and with your tight and booties I am smitten! The museum pictures look great and I wish I could be there touring this museum with you. I think this is a good place to take pictures, clear and bright images. The garden makes a great background. You choose just the right tights for every outfit. Great that you could enjoy some time with your family during the holidays and your attractive figure looks lovely!
