Resting in the sitting room

I am just back from work, and I am going to enjoy a quiet afternoon at home

I will sit on my sofa and switch on the tv ( always have a look at catwalks ), my pc (to surf on the net ) and my tab ( to hear if a comment arrives!)

Now I have my first problem to solve...The colour of my pants isn't red, neither pink or orange...
How do you call it in English? In Italian we say malva colour...

...in any case, I find it delightful! It goes welll with blue,

but also with creamy hues.

I wanted to match it with a similar shade necklace...so, here it is! Made last week!
My earrings aren't the same colour, but I love them because
I bought  in my honeymoon in Paris about 27 years ago ( how time flies!! ) and have recently found them back in a drawer!

I started the post saying that I was going to spend a relaxing afternoon at home

and, ad far as I can see,

another guy has  just had the same idea... ( don't worry, old Bangio is o.k. he is just planning something very important to do tomorrow! )

  1. Ah, haven't seen Bangio for a while. {{Hugs}}

Your home always looks so serene, as do you! On my monitor, your trousers are showing up as a soft rose colour. Very pretty. Your necklace is beautiful...rose quartz is it?

    1. Yes Sue, the stones of my necklace are rose quartz! I like very much that colour at the moment...I often make myself a new necklace to match my clothes!
Mr. Bangio was trying to have his afternoon nap on the carpet while I was trying to take my photos without stepping his tail!

  2. Fun post Dan to see your lovely home. I can imagine you at your computer reading the blogs. On my screen your pants look coral, like the color of sea coral. This color indeed looks great with navy. I so appreciate how you make your jewelry this necklace is beautiful. My husband and I have been together 26 years this year. Congratulations on 27 years. We both were very young ladies when we met our sweethearts!

  3. Many thanks for suggesting me the colour, Ann! I sometimes feel at a lack for words in English, and I appreciate any help! You look very young, and I remember I was very surprised to read in an interview that you were about 50! We both were very young when got married...I often think I have been very lucky to meet my husband!

  5. Dan, effectively as the previous reviewer says, your pants look a little coral color and strawberry. They are very pretty.
Have an estupenday further highlight the figure. That's great.
Your bag seems beautiful. I'm a fan of patent leather and two colors even more.
A relaxing afternoon accompanied by Bangio is most appealing, so I'm sure you enjoyed.
    kisses

    1. Yes, I think that coral is the very colour of my pants! ( and I am happy to know how to say it in English!!) Bangio is a funny guy, and a faithful friend!

  6. The pants color to me looks like salmon or a version of coral. You make the loveliest necklaces and I am very impressed. Last year, I took an afternoon course in beading at a local bead store. To me it was more difficult than it looked. We each received a tool kit and I promised myself to try again at home. Now that I have seen your beautiful necklace, I am inspired to try once again!

  7. Very nice outfit, and as always I love the jewelry. Just wanted to let you know that one of your other posts inspired me to go through my jewelry box and I found a couple of treasures I hadn't worn in a very long time. Congrats on 27 years, we just celebrated 25 in October.

  8. You and necklaces... such a good combination. This is a look you can pull off as you have a waist and a normal bum and hips to follow. I hardly have a waist, no hips and no bum, so I can never wear a short cardigan or sweater with trousers. Oh well..... we all have something we want to improve, don't we?
I noticed your lovely trousers first and immediately after that your necklace. As the colour was so perfect I knew you made it yourself (again). Oh to have such skills.... must be so nice. I love your whole outfit. Only find it a shame that the zipper of your cadigan competes with your beautiful necklace. Very pretty bag too, very pretty.

    1. It's wonderful how you can see only the best sides of me! So, many thanks for your kind words! You have an humoristic way to talk of yourself that makes you a lovable person, but I have only noticed your wonderful legs!
      p.s.
I haven't realised but, yes! The zip and the necklace don't work so well together!

I can't believe you've been married 27 years. You must have been a child bride!

Your dog and my dog could get together and have a nap-a-thon! LOL

The pants and your necklaces look great.

  23. Your handmade necklace is so very gorgeous! I love long styles like that which call to mind classic rosaries.

That particular (beautiful) hue of your pants is hard to pin down, I agree. It's somewhere in the realm of a dusty coral for me.

Big hugs & many thanks for both of your wonderfully nice recent blog comments,

    1. Yes, Jessica! That was just my idea of neckace : a rosary! They were very popular in Italy in the past, and I have seen some really wonderful!
You always find the most special words to say things...a dusty coral colour is a so perfect description ...
