Die hard ... :-)

Hi girls! First of all I want to thank all of you for the comments on my last post and for the mails I have received ... they have touched my heart and supported me after the accident in which mr. Bangio and I have been involved. Now the worst has gone and we are feeling better and better...

As you can see, we are now ready to post!

And I like starting again with  the photos of the exhibition I visited a couple of days  before the accident...

... stylish, ladylike hats ... Little works of art!

So beautiful and feminine,

So funny!!

Doesn't, this one remind you Breakfast at Tiffany's?

Well, my hat has very little in common with those fantastic old ones!

I love the extra touch hats give to an outfit, but , have you ever noticed the way they leave your hair??

  3. Hats are so much fun but you are right...they make for bad hair. Once you wear the hat plan on wearing it all day long.

So happy you are feeling well enough to post again and your puppy is making an appearance as well.

Looks like a cool exhibit and I love your beret.

    bisous

    1. There were so many lovable ( and funny ) hats at the exhibit!

Things are slowly improving and we couldn't stay away from the internet long !

  5. Dan. You are gorgeous with your black beret.
You know I have an equal? I accompanied over 18 years.
I like how you have left.
The photos are beautiful hats and Mr. Bangio matches your dress.
I hope there improved and everything goes well.

Funny! We have the same beret! Well, as it is an evergreen...we can wear it long!!

  6. Glad to see you are back and both feeling better. Hat hair.... I have one of those faces that look just weird with a hat. And hair that looks even worse: the hat sort of sits on top of the hair, looking like it's about to fall off any moment.

    1. Thank, Tiina! We are feeling very better vow...

I have opposite feeling about the hats: I love the elegant touch they can add to an outfit but, on the other hand I find they are not very comfortable! In any case, when temperatures are low, I must wear a hat to prevent headaches ...

  7. What a neat display of hats! And I agree with you on how they leave your hair. And where I live you have major static electricity to deal with too, which is why I tend to avoid them most of the time.

So glad to hear that you and Bangio are on the mend! :)

    1. Hi, Flo! Hats are a real disaster for hair, but, there are some ... so cute!
( besides, I must wear a hat in winter )

Mr. Bangio turned out to be as strong as Hercules! :-)

  8. It is wonderful to see you and Mr. Bangio back and on the mend. You look adorable in the hat and the exhibit is terrific. Unfortunately because of very thin hair, I would not be able to wear a hat unless I didn't remove it until I got home. I love them on others but have to pass on this.

    1. Dear Rebecca, many thanks for your kind words!

You are very lucky if you don't need to wear a hat in winter! I have to, and besides, my frizzy hair becomes horrible in humid days!

  9. Yes the one hat is so Audrey Hepburn! Of course you look adorable in a hat, but "hat hair" is always an issue. What a lovely exhibit!

  10. So good to see you back to blogging again. I am still worried about your health. Mr Bangio looks fit and so do you, but looks can be deceiving. Be careful won't you?
The hats are indeed beautiful. Inspired by The Style Crone I have tried hats myself. Only to come to the conclusion that I have neither the hair nor the head for them.
That baret makes you look a little naughty haha. Very cute. Pretty cute LOL

In the futurevI will be VERY careful when crossing a street!!
I have never noticed that beret gave me a naughty look ... funny! I should wear it more often, then! :-)
( It is surprising what a Furla hat can do!! )

Vincenzo ( my husband )always says the same about hats... he doesn't have the head for them!!

  14. Hi Dan
Glad to hear that you and Mr Bagio are feeling better. I would love to attend an exhibition like this! I did go to a museum that had history of fashion through the eras and the clothes, hats etc. I love these hats, in my post you visited, you know I love the 20s style hats I have a few of them. I love your hat and your lovely outfit with fur accents is beautiful as well. Tell me what link do you have a hard time with? I mentioned following each other to keep up. I signed up for your blogs subscription by email. Would you be interested with mine it is Bloglovin or email subscription. Just let me know.

  15. I will sign up for your blog by email, it is the best way to keep in touch each other, as I find it impossible to reach the home page of your blog from your profile... ( probably it's my fault! )

I love fur collars, of course only if they are FAUX!!

  17. Dearest Dan and Mr Bangio! I was away and only just read about your accident! I do hope you are both feeling ever so much better!!!! I remember being in Rome and seeing a lady hit by a car. There seems to be so much activity on the streets of Italy.

You look so chic, so dare I say... French....:) I love hats...actually tried many on when I was in Hawaii...and my curls get so squashed that I can't really take the hat off when I go indoors. I sometimes wish I had sleek hair so I could wear more hats.

Okay! Keep us posted on how you are both doing health wise! Love to you both!

    1. Dear Sue, you are such a kind person, so many thanks for the comment!
You have noticed something quite true about the streets in Italy:too much (bad) activity! But now I am very careful and watch again and again before crossing a street!!

Hats and hair are very difficult to match together!

  18. Dear Dan, I'm glad you and little Mr. Banjo are feeling better. Hope you feel 100% by Christmas!

My favourite hat is the one you are wearing! Looks like we are both Audrey Hepburn fans! I wore my black beret recently to a Christmas Fair and will be posting about it soon. I usually wear hats on a bad hair day, so it doesn't matter. ;-)

    I love Christmastime!
