Two rainy days on end are a loooong time and, probably, I wouldn't have gone out,
Gattinoni-Hogan
since, with very low temperatures and my warm clothes already put away,
I didn't know what to wear
But I had to withdraw a pair of my favourite shoes which I had taken to repair.
And so, made up my mind and went out.
It was worthwhile since, in a shop, I saw a copper bracelet that matched nicely to my rings. Of course, I immediately bought it!
( but I swear ... only paid 9€ for It! )
And wore it right away!
Three more ( red ) things made my day:
a beautiful rose which was about to bloom
a mill ( in the center of Turin!?! ) which reminded me a dear friend
and a funny, but very gracious, dancer!
At last I reached the shoemaker
( I have to confess that I had never seen such a tidy workshop! )
p.s.
My babies are again at home now !!
:-)
Sorry to hear you had a rainy weekend, but I have to say I love your beautiful coat! I've never seen such a nice and tidy shoemaker's workshop either. It's just fabulous. xxx
ReplyDeleteWe had a very bad weather during the weekend. When I heard the forecast I couldn't believe that temperatures would have dropped that way!! Horrible, simply horrible in May!!
DeleteSuch a fun post! First off, love that coat! Perfect to cheer you up on a gloomy, rainy day. The bracelet is lovely too, I can see why you had to have it. And yes, that is one tidy shop! I got a chuckle out of the bags awaiting retrieval from their owners. Glad you have your shoes back. :)
ReplyDeleteFunny place the shoemaker workshop! The bags are all alike and have an identical pale green ticket with the owner's name of the shoes ... I wish I had the same tidiness at home!!! :-)
DeleteI know that feeling of wanting to hole up when the weather's not cooperating! But with a coat like that---you should be out showing it off every day----wowza!!
ReplyDeleteAnd that bracelet was such a great deal---it made the trip worthwhile!!

It seems that I can't go back home without something new!! Luckily, this time I only spent 9 € ...
DeleteOh yes your favourite shoes!! They go with any outfit. The white (cream?) ones you were wearing (in the rain???) are cute too. And I love your coat. Such a fun and happy coat.
ReplyDeleteGreetje
The colour and shape of my pumps make them really perfect with everything.
DeleteAs I was afraid that they couldn't be repaired, I went to Turin to give then the last chance! Luckily, the (luxury) shoemaker did a good job!!
The shoes that I am wearing are patent leather and so, despite the cream colour are ok also in the
rain. I think I really have a pair of shoes for every weather!!!
If I had such a lovely raincoat I wouldn't mind the rain at all! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks for inviting us on your rainy day walk Dan. I love seeing Turin through your eyes!
You would like Turin also in real probably. It is an old city but interesting. It has an industrial past owed to the presence of the automobile factory Fiat and a new born touristic vocation. Besides it is rich of historic memories from the Roman Empire. A fantastic Egiptian Museum which is the second for importance in the world, the Holy Shroud, the old royal buildings and a stunning museum
Deletededicated to the history of the Cinema are some of the interesting places which a tourist can visit ...
From my words and through my eye you can surely understand how much I love the city !!
Beautiful coat! And I love your new bracelet - it was meant to be! :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

Spring time is so unpredictable, Carmen! I can bear rain but not low temperatures in May!!!
DeleteYou're right dan, that's the tidiest workshop I have ever seen! The owner/shopkeeper must be obsessive-compulsive. Hahaha. I love your blue trousers. Happy for you, your babies are back :)

An ordinary walk sometimes can reveal unexpected places and hidden beauties ... I love looking around!
DeleteDan, I love that floral raincoat. It's perfect for cheering up a dull day. Oh, and I loved the sneaky view of the cobblers - those men's two tone brogues are wonderful - I would buy these if they were women's!
