It had to happen sooner or later: last week I decided that red was not so bad after all...
( nothing against the colour, but I haven't been wearing it often in my life)
So, why not give it an ( exaggerate ) try??
Not an ordinary red skirt, but a long, wide, asymmetric one which surely doesn't go unnoticed!
Big flowers as earrings in a pale shade of yellow
( recently bought )
And neutral colour low heel sandals.
It was a hot morning in the city
and I was looking for some corner in the shade ...
Which didn't turned out to be a good idea for having good quality photos...
Do you happen to wear an extraordinarily exaggerate piece of clothing now and then?
I love that red skirt. It's so unique, so different and I love the fullness. The fabric must be quite firm to hold shape so well. The shoes you've chosen give the outfit an almost 50s vibe, a touch of Sophia Loren!ReplyDelete
This is what I consider a great comment!!Delete
My skirt is from cotton and yes, it is quite firm ...the skirt also has pleats at the sides ( not visible in the photos ) Which help to hold the shape!
I love this outfit on you, Dan. The top fits beautifully and the skirt is beautiful and dramatic. I am glad to see that it is sunny somewhere in this world! NYC has been very cool and damp recently. Oh well, I am sure that I will be complaining soon that it is too hot!ReplyDelete
Ha Ha! I understand, Rebecca! I do the same ... cold is too cold for me and hot is too hot!! :-)Delete
That's a fabulous red skirt, Dan! I love the asymmetrical hemline. It looks fantastic with the shirt and sandals. I'm glad you gave red a chance! :-)ReplyDelete
Andrea’s Wellness Notes
I am satisfied with the red skirt. To tell the truth...it is not the only red shopping I did ! Am I becoming a red addict?? :-)Delete
What a glorious looking skirt Dan! I think your photos turned out great. I especially love the one that shows just the skirt and your handbag.ReplyDelete
To be honest, I had to adjust the quality of some photos since they were a bit too dark!!Delete
Beautiful look! I love the skirt and the shirt. I love the stamping of the shirt, and the original design of the skirt. Beautiful outfit, with bag, shoes and beautiful earrings. A Dan a little different, but very beautiful.ReplyDelete
You are right, Joseph: a slightly different style for me today!Delete
Love the skirt! And I love red, I always have quite a few pieces of it. Glad to see you give it a try!ReplyDelete
Red seems to be not so bad after all!!Delete
I adore this skirt, it is a change and I like it. I love to wear a full skirt now and then, it is so roomy and dramatic. You look very chic as always, the printed tee and simple sandal is perfect with this look! Yes to red!ReplyDelete
A full skirt looks feminine, doesn't it? Mine is very dramatic too. I confess that I was feeling a princess wearing it!!Delete
That skirt is fabulous on you Dan!! I've been experimenting with different items lately too--and it's so fun!!ReplyDelete
You must wear this color more--it suits you so well!
I will share my red blouse soon ...Delete
You are looking absolutely stunning in your red outfit. That skirt is fabulous! I love that photo of you sitting on those curved stone steps. xxxReplyDelete
My husband is becoming a great photographer!! :-)Delete
I love this outfit on you Dan, you look so good in red and those sandals are the business! I agree with Ann, stunning photo of you on the steps!XxReplyDelete
I am going to tell it to my husband!!!Delete
Lovely look dear! xxReplyDelete
Oh Dan, what a stunning skirt! I love skirts with a high low hem line! Absolute elegance!ReplyDelete
The skirt surely doesn't go unnoticed for the colour and shape ... not something you like to wear everyday, but now and then ...it's nice and you feel like a princess!!Delete
Que Bella! Mi piace molto.ReplyDelete
Many thanks for your comment, Christine!Delete
Oh my goodness Dan, I adore this skirt! It looks fabulous on you. Love the wideness and the asymmetric hemline. That shirt is very good with it. The sandals are a nice mix between flats and heels. Elegant and I bet you will wear them often. The gorgeous earrings should not go unmentioned. Love them. All in all a top ten outfit. And your photos are good. You should indeed stand in the shadow or have a tunnel (or similar) behind you to shoot a good photo in bright sunlight.ReplyDelete
Your photos are always of an excellent quality,Greetje! I still have a lot to learn ...Delete
The skirt is a bit out of my usual style. It looks outstanding in photos!
You know photos tell the story more truthfully than a mirror does...Delete
You look amazing Dan, like a movie star from the '50s, a touch of vintage and very classy.ReplyDelete
Happy weekend dear!
A great new entry in my closet, isn' t it?Delete
Have a nice week, darling!
Dan, Wow that skirt is so classy and a head turner for sure!ReplyDelete
thanks for linking!
For sure it is!! :-)Delete
I think your photos are stunning Dan! Absolutely love this look. The skirt is amazing on you xxReplyDelete
It's not an ordinary skirt. When I saw it at the shop, immediately thought it had to come home with me ...Delete
What a statement of a skirt. Bold, beautiful, powerful.ReplyDelete
Many thanks, Sheela! ( and sorry for my late answer ... )Delete
Sorry this is rather late but I really love you in your statement red skirt and the top and shoes are the perfect pairings. You know me I love unusual shapes in my clothing choices. Your photos came our rather well , full sun or shade , both rather tricky to get the photos.ReplyDelete
Oh, what a fabulous outfit!ReplyDelete
I would love to see that you wear that skirt and the red blouse on the latest post!!
Have a lovely July, Dan :)
