Sweet pepper Festival!

When the holidays are over and you are about to start working again you probably are not in your best mood, right?
What to do then to improve it?

Well, in my opinion a new pair of shoes can always help to cross the blues
:-)

As well as  a visit to a nearby city for the Pepper Festival ..
So, off we went!

In the city  there was also an exhibition of old cars
( here I posed next to a "Topolino" Fiat car which I think is so cute!)

Being the surroundings known for the quality  peppers which are there cultivated, cars had been decorated with the vegetables )

And shop windows too.

There was  an open air market with regional products where I bought canape bread, some bakery goods, a pistachio sauche for dressing pasta, and a bottle of extra virgin olive oil from Rieti.
Of course I couldn't miss to buy some peppers too!

Oh, yes! I think there will probably  be some cooking in my future ...

    1. At the end of Summer yoo can visit festivals of any kind here:most of them celebrate local products...the weather is generally sunny in September and October and it's nice spend some more time in the open air!

  4. Dan, those elegant shoes certainly would cheer you up. The festival certainly is colourful with all the different varieties of peppers and of course the older cars. Hope your return to work hasn't been too stressful.

    1. Well, to be precise, when I said cooking...I was thinking about putting the peppers in my microwaves and then dressing with olive oil and lemon! :-)

About my outfit: the skirt and top are Falconeri. The brand is a bit expensive but at the end of season their prices are 50% off
The bag is Max Mara ( bought a couple of weeks ago ) and the shoes are from a small shop in Turin ( Narese ) which produces its own shoes...the leather is soft and, as the heel is only 6cm high, they are really comfortable!

    2. I have been to a small shop in Turin who made their own shoes remember? I bought blue patent leather slingbacks in the sale. Was that the same shop? I thought they were going out of business.

My shoes are from another small shop which also sells its own brand (Narese)

  8. I've just returned from a week's holiday, so reading this post couldn't be more timely. Unfortunately there's no Pepper Festival I can visit to chase away the post-holiday blues! Love your stylish outfit, as always. How lovely is that car with the flowers and peppers? OK, I think I'm off now to buy a new pair of shoes ;-) xxx

  13. It is pretty, it is cute. An outing with the ort pretty neatly dressed will change our mood. Work weeks are busy and there is no way you could get a peek around our neighborhood. The photos are perfect and the shades of color blended well. Liked your pastel attire. The dress with ruffled hair looked perfect on you.
