I have got it!



This is a sort of thanksgiving post for the useful  tips and encouraging words I received...


I have read each comment with close attention, trying to learn as much as I could


Here I am in a shopping mall that has turned out to be a nice ( and warm! ) location for a post


I also tried to wear myself in a photogenic way, but, as I suffer cold weather very much, I had to put many layers of clothes on, ( such as a long sleeve t-shirt, a silk shirt, a wollen cardigan... )



my black boots and...


...my faux fur collar.

Then I added a sparkling touch


and my last baby!


Finally, since I was feeling very brave, I went out without a coat!


By the way...please,  have a look on the roof at my back...That is snow! ( and temperature are below 0°C )
But I am a blogger, and...I can hold on!!

    Dan, I love every single piece you are wearing! A wonderful layered look and the colours paired with black are amazing. I'd instantly wear this. And please, can I have that gorgeous handbag too?? It is beautiful...

    When we take photos these days it is always freezing cold even when the sun shines but as you already said... we are bloggers ;-) At home I put the radiators on full and always keep a hot water bottle with me!

      I put the radiators on full too! (a warm room is so confortable. . . ) . I have had a quick glance at your last post this morning and I have seen you smiling in the snow. . .a good job and a very chic , brave lady!!

    Annette is right wonderful layering here. You look warm and toasty! I love this bag. Good idea to use a window in mall while shopping. I also remember liking the pictures at your home. Sunny days help, don't they?

      Hi Ann, too cold weather required a lot of warm layers! The shopping mall seemed to be a suitable place for a post, I would like to find a more artistic one as soon as I can. . .sunny days are so essential for bloggers!!

    Bravo Dan, you have done it: photos in the winter outside. And look how good they have become!!
    You look so nice. And you are good with layering too. Winter clothes do not cramp your style one single bit.
    Now tell me about that brushed pink layer you have put in between. Is that a skirt? Or a long T-shirt? And why is it so nicely folded? Because this makes the outfit very interesting.

      This post has required some time to be ready, so I am glad that you like! In the photos I am wearing a lot of clothes, the long, silk shirt has folds which are sewed and it is longer at the front side. That gives a certain personality to it.
      While I was taking the photos I was thinking that if you could take photos outside in The Netherlands, I could do the same in Italy!

      I have signed up for the yellow skirt too! And I can't wait it to arrive !!

    Thank you for braving the cold weather to bring us such terrific photos! I really sympathize with you, dear Dan, I too am very uncomfortable in the cold. You are so sweet to carry on for your many fans around the world. This weather is really weird though. In NYC it will be around 62 degrees tomorrow and other locations are suffering from extreme winter weather. Mother Nature!!

      I love keeping in touch with people in different parts of the world and that's why I blog. I sometimes try to imagine people who comment opmy posts and theirr lives...it seems unbealivable to me that they are so far away!! And it's nice to chat with kind ones like you!

    Believe me…I know your pain. I have given up outdoor photos and am trying to make due inside. It's not easy and the colours of my photos are often wonky.

    For a person that isn't bag crazy I adore this one.

    Also loving the fur collar.

      The trick would probably be to take the photos very quickly during sunny hours, then go inside in a flash....not a so easy task!

    Looks like you found a sort of solution--but BRRRR!!!! It warmed up a little here for a couple of days but now we are back to cold. Was warm enough to melt off all that snow we had, but we woke up to a new coating this morning.

    And winter isn't started yet!! The place where you live looks fantastic under the snow...

      Thanks Rebecca, often indoor places have different temperatures , so wearing layers of clothes is very confortable...the collar is versatile and I have been wearing it a lot recently!

    Beautiful photos Dan!! You always have such a warm smile even though it's cold outside! I love layering and yours looks great! The faux collar is fabulous and will keep you warm with any outfit. I am a faux fur fan because I love animals and would never hurt any.

      Faux furs are nice and warmer than scarves. I have some and use a lot! I love animals too...

      ...The day I took the photos was very cold, but I wanted to post some photos without my coat on....luckily it was sunny and I felt brave enough to take it off! ( but only for a few minutes!!)

    Hi Dan, thank you for coming by So What to Twenty! Yes, you are brave to go out into beloe zero temps. Today in California it is 88 degrees. Can you believe that? I noticed your boots. I just purchased a pair of booties from ebay. Im so excited to wear them.
