Pulcinella, the Neapolitan coffeepot and my outfit

Happy start of February! Do you celebrate in any way Carnival? I  don't like parades, but found a place just perfect for  the period :

a cafe' with a peculiar exhibition

  of coffeepots

decorated with the traditional mask of Pulcinella

apart from Pulcinella, there was ... the moka!
For those of you who don't know, it was the old Neapolitan coffeepot, which you filled with water, put on the fire, then turned it upside down to allow the hot water to drop on the coffee dust and finally you poured the coffee into the cups!

Luckily not everything is so complicated in life!!

And when temperatures are too low, I always know what to wear: boots, a pair of  trousers

and two  jackets ( or a coat ) ... brrrrr!
I hope  you are having warmer days in your part of the world!

  1. Oh, that would be interesting to visit such an exhibition! And yeah, I didn't know what the moca is. Now I know :) You are so slim, this outfit accentuate your slimness in a perfect way. The colours are so nice - pink, blue and purple, look fantastic.

    1. Dear Karin, I am so happy to read your comment!
To be honest, neither here elegance is very common anymore...what a pity!

  4. I think there are only a few women who look as good in trousers and stylish boots as you. You know that I have a strong affinity for coffee... what a great exhibition. Now that we have modern conveniences such as little coffee pods and the special machines that brew them, we are indeed spoiled and too impatient to wait on traditionally brewed coffee~ especially we Americans. Thanks for sharing fashion and local culture today. Hugs!

    1. Nowadays we are often in a hurry, but sometimes it's nice to take it easy and slow down...regarding cofffee...well, I never prepare it at home because I like sipping it at the cafe' ! ( and that for me is a moment of real pleasure!! )

  5. Do I see all new things? Bag? Jacket, trousers and booties? I had to get used to the length of these trousers. I only wear them with pumps. But they give such a good stage to the gorgeous boots. And the colour of the trousers is heaven, especially in winter when everything is black. I don't know how thick they are but presumably you can also wear them in spring?
The marine blue jacket has a perfect fit abd the quilted jacket is lovely too. I think your top is also new but cannot see it properly. (I know... too cold haha.)
    Very smart outfit.

    2. No, no, not everything is new in my outfit! I have already posted my pants, boots, bag and sweater...I just have restyled them and I am glad to read that they look new...Well, to be honest, there is something new... the jacket! But as you know, my light colour one is definitely gone so there was ...a vacancy in my closet!!
My trousers are from the last year's fall/winter collection of Marella . I remember I wore them also in spring ( but here in spring the weather is generally a rainy, not very warm season )

  12. I've never seen any coffee pots like those. Your outfit is very pretty my dear Dan, and pink is such a happy colour. Where I live is MUCH colder with so much snow that all my dance classes were cancelled yesterday. My car doesn't even start on such cold days. Schools were closed, but children have fun in the snow. I just got back from Seattle which was so mild with spring-like weather, I didn't even need a coat some days.

    Hope you keep warm!

Snow and cold weather have arrived here too! ( but I do hope they won't last long!! )

    1. A double feeling of love and hate ties me with pants, so I am glad to read your words!

It always surprises me to see how many little trasures can find around if you slow your step in the city!

  14. What a stylish outfit! And it looks like spring, sunshine and everything... We don't have carnivals (protestant ethos...) but there is a mid-winter celebration coming up, it's all about outdoor activities, snow... Not really cold, barely freezing every other day and the snow turns into slush, wet and grey. That's why I loved the sunshine in your pictures.
