My mirror recently was reflecting a more tired and older face ...
( can a mirror shows also your soul???)
So I tried a simple, not invasive solution which could help:
a very bright red lipstick!
I usually am wearing neutral colours, but at the moment a vitaminic colour probably suits me better...and I gave it a chance!
Secondly, I wanted a warmer atmosphere at home
hence, on Sunday afternoon, I spent some time decorating it for Christmas
I know it's a bit early, but ... why don't break the rule ?
( old pair of boots )
Next week ... my third, most important decision!!
Many thanks, my dear friends for all your supporting comments on last week's post...♥♥
amazing look! very chic! :)ReplyDelete
Very casual as well!Delete
That's a great lipstick color on you! And a great outfit!ReplyDelete
I'm also wearing very neutral lipstick colors and have been thinking that I need to find a lipstick with a bit more color. It's a bit tricky for me as I'm very pale and many colors don't look good...
Enjoy your Christmas decorations!
I understand, Andrea. At first I thought the same of my new lipstick. Then I got used to its bright colour!Delete
Never under estimate the difference a new lipstick can make to make you feel a little better, your new colour suits you very well. Enjoy adding some bright with your Christmas decorating. Take care , no doubt you are still very sad about your recent loss.ReplyDelete
Yes Jill, I am sad. It has been a melancholic week and I tried to find something which could make me feel me better ... a new lipstick and some decorations are little things of course ...Delete
Rules were meant for breaking ! Love this shade on you, it does add vibrancy to your face and I adore the fur collar ! I hope you are well and not too sad.ReplyDelete
I am glad that you like my new lipstick...when I bought it I wasn't at all sure of the colour!Delete
I am feeling the melancholy of the loss, I need time...
I agree with you, what can better refresh a face than a bright coloured lipstick? Always works for me and as I can see works with you too. Nice colour, not too bright, and suits you very well. Pretty casual look, love the furry collar!ReplyDelete
Thanks, Olga. Very easy solutions sometimes work!Delete
Great lip-color. It's the perfect way to perk up any look.ReplyDelete
Yes, it is! I only have to get uded to it ...Delete
I'm agreeing totally. On the days I don't want to put on my makeup, I find that filling in my eyebrow (I'm pretty hairless) and putting on bright lipstick does the trick----it makes me feel good and I bet others don't realize that's all I did!!! jodieReplyDelete
A lady should always do what makes her feel good!!! :-) I felt I needed more brightness and so decided for the colour ... a totally different one from those which I usually wear!Delete
Dear Dan, you look great with that new lipstick! Wish you a lot of positive emotions.ReplyDelete
Hi dearest!!! Thanks for commenting ...It's a very nice surprise and a pleasure to see you here!Delete
ciao Daniella. Thank you for the tip. I was feeling the same so will definitely try this out as it looks great on you. I am also using my Caci microlift and a Baby Qasar machine - definitely brightens and tightens!!ReplyDelete
Hi, Linda! There are many little things which one can do in order to improve the mood!! I am glad that mine inspired you!!Delete
Welcome to my blog ...
I am all for red lipstick. Without it, I look washed out. And it looks good on you too. Wise decision.ReplyDelete
Your outfit looks very good on you. Makes me laugh to see you more in trousers and me more in skirts.
The blue sweater is beautiful. I like the neckline. And I have to think of elongating such a sweater with another top, because it creates more interest. I keep forgetting it. As for Christmas decorations... we have to wait in The Netherlands until after December 5. Sint Nicolas (remember?).
On your last note: I think I know what your third decision is.
Yes, I am wearing trousers more often recently ... at the moment we are having low temperatures here and, besides, I am not still sure about how to style my wide skirts in winter!Delete
About Saint Nicolas:I would have loved waiting until the day, but ... I have already eaten both my letter and Vincenzo's!!
Finally:if you want to verify if your flair about my third decision is correct ... look at the right corner in the bottom of my first photo! :-)
Super cute and comfy look. I really love the sweater. xxReplyDelete
I am glad that you like ...Delete
I love this look so elegant and attractive. The neck is cute, the rest of the outfit is fantastic. A great proposal.ReplyDelete
Really? I only thought it was very comfortable!! Many thanks, Josep ...Delete
I adore bright lipstick. It can make such a difference. That is often the only cosmetic I will put on.ReplyDelete
If your skin doesn't need any make up ... well, you are a very lucky girl, Suzanne!!Delete
Love the color of the sweater, I used to have one very similar and wore it until it looked so bad I couldn't anymore. I need another!ReplyDelete
I think I have figured out what the third decision is, and I have to admit that I did the exact same thing when I was in your situation. Did not regret it either! Hubby and I were just talking about that this afternoon, it's been 7 years this week...can't wait to see the next post!!
You are a smart girl, Flo!! :-) And have got it !! Next week dear...Delete
It is such a pleasure to see your beautiful smile (with a gorgeous red lipstick!) once again.ReplyDelete
In my heart grief is gradually leaving place to melancholy ... of course I often think to my dear friend, but this is life ...Delete
Such a lovely shade of lipstick Dan.ReplyDelete
Let me say that I think you look as gorgeous as ever, but yes I do believe that mirrors reflect our souls. Grief and sadness can make us look tired and/or older...but that is only until our heart begins to heal.
Yes, Sue. It will take me some time. In the meantime I am filling my life with positive thoughts ...Delete
Love the boots Dan, and the bright lipstick suits you. Looks like we're all getting ready for the Christmas period. Have a good weekend :)ReplyDelete
Hi, Marj! Here comes the sweetest period of the year ...ReplyDelete
Great share! Even I have some awesome collection of branded lipstick online at Majorbrands.ReplyDelete
i like these boots so muchReplyDelete
