It had been a cold week here!
And I had heard that they were having bad weather in many parts of America too, included NYC.
The TV was transmitting pictures of streets covered with snow ...Brrrrr!
With low tempereratures, Saturday I was not in the mood of going to the city and preferred a lazy afternoon at home ( which also included taking photos ).
I could stay warm, enjoy some quiet hours and style the clothings I would have worn the following day.
As you know, low temperatures don't help to be stylish!
I took it easy and chose my accessories.
Silver, and copper are not bad together ...
the bag
Thick tights and ( high heels ) shoes
Marella
pink Tshirt underneath a (new ) sweatshirt.
Green, with pale pink astract flowers.
Tomorrow I will go out early, I promise!
Don't you feel that home is the best place to stay in very cold days?
Very nice outfit! I love the pink shirt and your new sweatshirt! Great jewelry & shoes, too!
ReplyDeleteStay warm!
I hope that in your part of the world the weather is fine!
DeleteYes, home is GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love this outfit and the bauble ring!x
ReplyDeleteThere are days in which it is the best place where to stay!
DeleteLooking good!
ReplyDeleteWinter is the perfect time to hibernate : )
bisous
Suzanne
...And also to enjoy the warm hug of a home !
DeleteI agree completely, when it's cold, I prefer not going anywhere unless I have to. Love the outfit, the copper ring would go great with the necklace you got for Christmas too!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes the necklace and the ring are great together! To be honest... it was that necklace which inspired me to match silver and copper...you have a really good eye...my compliments, Flo!!
DeleteThat sweatshirt looks so pretty---it doesn't even look like a sweatshirt!!! And that silver skirt just makes any day more special---bling is always a good thing, right? jodie

My top looks like a shirt and it's comfortable like a sweatshirt... it immediately caught my attention and ... a minute after I bought it!! :-)
DeleteCopper and silver. Definitely nice together. Sometimes we just need a day inside to play dress up, don't we?
ReplyDeleteAnd I really like it! Something like ... playing with dolls when you are a child!!
DeleteGreat styling again Dan. A very elegant and flattering outfit. Copper and silver, I would not have come up with that, although I have overcome my old fashioned ideas about things not going together. It feels like freedom now that I have thrown those ideas out. So yay to copper with silver.
ReplyDeleteThat bag is very much my kind of bag. The sweater could have been in my shopping card too haha. Very nice. You don't say anything about the skirt. Pity, as it is also really nice.
The difference between you and me is very well illustrated by this post. I agree with staying up at home when the weather is cold, but I would have done that with a pair of comfortable trousers, a sweatshirt (or something similar) and flat shoes (or rather slippers). Never full force in pencil skirt and high heels haha. Or did you slip into something more comfortable too after you created this outfit?

The fact is that I have so little time for look into my wardrobe and match clothes...It is impossible in the morning when I got up as I have many things more important to do ...
DeleteSometimes I am alone at home and am not in the mood for going out. Those are the best moments to put my things out and mix and match them. I often discover an item which I had forgotten to own!
I say nothing about my skirt because it isnot new. I bought it at the MM outlet and already posted.
p.s.
not too much difference between us...when at home I usually wear my nightie! :-)
Great items Really interesting post...thx for sharing! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks, dear!
DeleteAlways fun playing dress ups, either to go out and about or stay inside and keep warm and of course you did it with such great style.Love that top and skirt with as usual the best jewellery and bag and of course heels.I find Winter dressing easier than Summer .I like wearing warm coats and jackets , Summer here is much more casual, not really me.
ReplyDeleteNot only winter dressing is easier, I find it more interesting...with high temperatures the best solution for me is a simple dress which means ... quickly ready but less fun!!
DeleteGorgeous accessories! That copper ring in particular really caught my eye. You always accessorize so splendidly, sweet Dan.

What a surprise, Jessica! Many thanks for your comment, I am glad!
DeleteA cute outfit dear Dan! I love this skirt and your gorgeous rings.

I paid the copper ring very little. This proves that beauty has little to do with price ... sometimes!
DeleteGreat look, is very beautiful and elegant. Both pieces, blouse and skirt are two cuties. I love accessories.
ReplyDeleteI have never worn a sweatshirt with a classic skirt before this year ... and yet they go nicely together!
DeleteA fabulous outfit Dan! Great style and the jewellery is exquisite! I am wearing thick tights too when I wear a skirt.
ReplyDeleteI prefer staying inside on cold days, but unfortunately I have to go out to work.

I have to go to work too during the week, luckily it was Saturday when I took the photos and so I enjoyed a day at home ...let's hope that spring won't be late this year!
ReplyDeleteI love your layers, the texture of your skirt, and the print blouse! The rings are all sensational , and modern the way you wear them!
ReplyDeleteIt was cold, then warm, and now cold again in NY. Never a dull moment!
YOU look gorgeous!
