With low temperatures I am definitely preferring trousers and so, I thought it would have been better if I had a good selection of them
( you know, I am a wise woman...)
Marella
The trousers that I am wearing today have white flowers on a grey background .
With such a rich print I opted for a plain top in pink.
And a red gemstone necklace
( One of the reasons why I love Turin, is the presence of antique cafes that resist to the pass of time and the opening of new and beautiful, but very similar to each other, places )
Not only the low temperatures convinced me to wear trousers more often, but I also had to adopt an extra solution to stay warm ...
In Italy we call it a "100 grams" : it's very thin and wearable underneath a coat...
At last something which really works in very cold days:
for me at the moment represents the perfect solution...
Any other ideas from your side of the world?
I discovered your blog a while ago via "No Fear of Fashion" and just love your Italian chic - no one does it like Italian women.
ReplyDeleteMy "100 grams" sheds feathers. Do you or anyone have a solution to this?
Susan D
I am glad you stopped here Susanna! Your comment is really nice...♡♡
DeleteP.s.
Have you tried to ask where you bought your "100 grams" ? I have a synthetic one...
Very stylish casual look, Dan! Love that necklace! Lucky me, winter is almost finished in my part of the world :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes you are a lucky woman, Olga!
DeleteI can't stand anymore either too low and too high temperatures ... very annoying indeed!! :-(
The pants are beautiful. I like this look!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for commenting!
DeleteI tend to wear trousers quite often in winter as well but we have a corporate dress code at work so most of mine are black so I can wear them in the office as well as around the house. You are tempting me to try some patterned ones for holidays etc though!
ReplyDeleteSolid-colour trousers are probably easier to match but I have a fancy to the patterned ones!!
DeleteThose pants are gorgeous, Dan, and so is that amazing gemstone necklace. I'd never heard of a "100 grams". Oh, and that café looks so inviting! xxx
ReplyDeleteI discovered those "100 grams " recently and immediately bought a polyester one. It seems that a lot of people already knew them for years...
DeleteSuch a gorgeous color combination Dan!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the idea of layering coats like that...such brilliance!!

A " 100 grams " is really a good solution in winter and makes it possible to wear lightweight coats as well ...
DeleteYou look fabulous dear Dan! The printed pants are beautiful and so is the soft sweater. It seems to be nice sunny weahter at your place.

We have had blue skies but low temperatures for a while and then cloudy and foggy days ... winter is sooooo long! (
DeleteI layer layer layer and layer. Haha, luckily it s getting warmer here in the Netherlands. And by warmer I mean ten degrees! I love your pants! You always look so elegant!
ReplyDeleteI layer layer and layer too! And am waiting for a mild springtime...
DeleteLove the trousers, you always look the epitome of Italian chic. Turin looks positively springlike, look at that blue sky! That old café looks like a wonderful place to spend time.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful comment, Fiona ... thanks!
DeleteThere are many delightful old cafes in Turin which I think you would like ... And in winter we have often sunny days ( with low temperatures! )
I love everything from your outfit. xoxo
ReplyDeleteReally? I am glad that you like it !
DeleteDan , as elegant as ever in your printed pants and pretty sweater. Glad you have found a practical solution to keep you warm . Turin is indeed a beautiful city and that cafe looks so interesting. Hope your weather warms soon but at least you have clear skies.
ReplyDeleteAnd I can also wear my not-very-warm coats...
DeleteTurin is a charming old city and we are more likely to have clear skies in winter than in any other season here.
I think it is called a puffer coat in the UK and USA. I had to grin when I read you wear trousers more and more haha. While you got me back to dresses and skirts again. But you do look elegant in your trousers Dan, I'll grant you that. Beautiful ensemble.
ReplyDeleteIn my country we wear thick coats most of the time. At the moment it is not so cold but... wet again.

In real life when I spend most of my day indoors, I keep on wearing skirts too. But when it's very cold and have to stay outdoors, I prefer trousers ...especially if I have to take photos for the blog!
DeleteI can't wait to enjoy mild temperatures!!
These trousers are so fabulous!! Love how you styled them!

Hi Elise, I am glad that you like!
DeletePink and grey is one of my favorite color combinations and I love the double white layer under the pink sweater. This is such a chic look. Thank you for dropping by my blog today. It is always nice to see someone new.
ReplyDelete...And many thanks to you for commenting here, Teresa!
DeleteRelaxed and elegant outfit, the pink is soft and divine!

Pink is a soft and very versatile colour, I like it too...
DeleteAs always, you are the epitome of Italian chic. Everything you wear looks to be of quality and elegance and oh so chic!
ReplyDeleteThanks, it is worth buying quality clothes : they last a lifetime and fit perfectly...
DeleteIt's definitely pants weather here! I love yours, there is something about them that gives them a slight edge. Not sure if it's the design or print or what, but I like them. What you paired them with is perfect too!
ReplyDeleteYou caught the detail, Flo!! The trousers have a cut at the back which allows a slight edge...
DeleteYou have many lovely trousers, Dan!
ReplyDeleteI also often wear trousers in winter. But they are almost UNIQLO black leggins...
My favorite items for cold weather are silk or wool underwear's,
and disposable heat pack!
akiko
My trousers and by Marella (a brand of MaxMara group) They always have printed trousers in their collections ...
DeleteI have never heard about disposable heat packs, but they sound ... a great idea!! :-)
Very pretty print trousers dan! Love the blush colored blouse with them
