What do you mean when think of a casual outfit?
Marella
My idea of casual is a pair of blue jeans ...
I am not very fond of denim ( on me ) but since my closet is a very democratic place
( probably due to the fact that I am a shopping addict ),
you can see some denim in it.
I Blues
Next to many other pieces of course !
I matched denim to a white shirt with blue lace details.
White seems to balance the casual look and make the outfit more my taste ...
I decided for an extra touch of white : my white OBag.
With mild temperatures it too terribly needed a spring outfit! :-)
So I fixed rope handles and bought a snake printed dress ...
Also my jewelry had light colour tones.
There were a very strong light around and smiling people...
Relaxed look today and not in the mood of hairstyling ...
...Simple but genius! A great step ahead for (wo)mankind...
:-)
I like this outfit a lot - some casual elements so well put together! I love your bag's new accessories! Such a great bag!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week dear Dan!

Yes, it is ... and such a great fun too!!
DeleteHave a fantastic weekend...
Ciao Dan
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous outfit, I would love a pair of jeans like those. I agree that the smart white shirt makes this ensemble slightly less casual. Superb accessories.... the very expensive looking handbag, scarf and lovely jewellery scream 'continental'. That hair pin would last two seconds in my hair! x
Many thanks Fiona, your comment sounds perfect to start a day in a positive mood!!
DeleteVery strong hair, darling!! :-)
Love this " casual " look on you. It is polished and very detailed which I love. The embroidered white shirt and scarf is lovely with the cuffed denim, and I love your hair back. Your white bag, with the rope handles is outstanding !

Those OBags are such perfect bags for me! I have got four (for the time being ) in different colours. I can't wait to see the new S/ S collection!
DeleteVery stylish, but casual as well - I love it, especially your jeans. Jacqui

Every now and then is time for...a casual outfit! :-)
DeleteThis is a very topical post for me. I have never ever owned a pair of jeans. I am not terribly keen on denim. We have a nationwide charity event on 24th March and we are having a dress down day at work where we are to wear jeans instead of our normal black skirts or trousers so I am wondering if I am going to have to buy a cheap pair for the day. I did try on a pair once but they were so tight and uncomfortable around my bottom and thighs ....
ReplyDeleteI am with you about jeans: they are not comfortable!! To be honest, the ones I was wearing are from Marella's last summer collection made from linen and so...very comfortable indeed!!
DeleteYour casual outfit is very stylish (I wish I could do casual like that), and I love how you "dressed" the OBag! And what a genius way to "dress" your hair in a casual way too. Glad to see that Spring reached your part of the world, too. Here in Antwerp, nothing but smiling faces as well. xxx
ReplyDeleteUsually I am not for casual outfits but now and then I like wearing a pair of jeans. Of course I have to style them in a not completely casual way!
DeleteWell, well, well.. we are meeting each other half way haha. You in jeans and me in dresses. The world upside down.
ReplyDeleteYou may not be fond of jeans but they do suit you. All your items are elegant and very well styled. Another bag? Another inside bag? The staff at the Obag store will love you. I still like my summer version best. Especially because the long brown handles are so good. The short white ones in winter don't get dirty because of sweat but I cannot put the bag over my shoulder. Annoying.
Your choice to pair an elegant shirt with jeans would be my choice too.
Beautiful coat too.
Greetje
You are right Greetje, the staff at the OBag store always keep a friendly attitude towards me! The same of course happens at Marella 's and I could quote many others shops ... I have many friends around ! :-)
DeleteP.s.
I prefer not to carry bags on my shoulder since they crease clothes
Bag across your shoulder... it is a practical Dutch habit. 😂
DeleteI have to be in the right mood to wear denim. I don't find it particularly comfortable like some people do. I love what you paired yours with though!
ReplyDeleteRight about denim. There are many other fabrics around !
DeleteI am not a big fan of jeans either. But these are so very elegant on you! And combined with the White blouse ,with a twist, is fantastic! Also love your bag!
ReplyDeleteI am darned in love with those OBags!!! :-)
DeleteI love how you describe your closet as democratic---I'm totally going to use that phrase!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I think sometimes I steer away from denim is because it's gotten that bad rap of being sloppy. but your outfit is anything but sloppy!! You look fabulous, Dan

Ha ha! I am glad that you like my phrase...
DeleteYour version of casual is very elegant and lovely. You look terrific and I love the bag. I wonder if they sell them here in New York - I will check on that. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeletePerhaps there are Obag shops in NY. You can also have a look at https://www.obagonline.us.com good look!! :-)
DeleteLove the combination of outfit!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks!
DeleteI seem to be unusual in that jeans are casual smart to me. I love dressing them up. I think its because I am in business wear all week. Youve smartened those up well and they go so well cropped for the spring showing your ankle. Its fab with the decorative white shirt.
ReplyDeleteI think that the cropped legs are what convinced me to buy those jeans. The detail adds a stylish look...
DeleteOh, but I love you in denims! The casual look you created is very cool and I love each single detail <3
