Raincoat and ... a new trend! ( but not sure)

I bought this raincoat at a  very reduced price because its belt was missing.
It didn' t represent a big problem to me since I own many...

I found one in the bottom of my closet which is like the inside part of my bag!
( it's something that always surprises me when I find the exact thing I need and I didn't remember to have! )
What a pity it is not well visible in the photo!

The day before yesterday  we had the perfect weather for wearing a raincoat

Tod's

Being a key piece for spring , you can see many on the pages of  magazines.
Do you prefer a classic piece  in a neutral tone or have you got  one in a different and unusual style ?

Nothing special for me underneath.  I matched black and blue.
Old rules say no to the combination  and many people find it is not a good one, but I like it.
( besides, if Armani uses it so often...why shouldn't I??? )

Have you  noticed?  I made a not matching pair this time!

Why not?  It could become a new trend before long ...
You can never know!

  1. Buon giorno Dan
Love the length of your trousers, they look so chic but I think one needs good ankles to compliment this look...something I don't have! As for the mac, yours would go with just about anything. Yes! Go for the odd earrings look, it's fabulous, I've seen women with just one earring also. Have a good week XX

    1. I prefer a neutral coloured raincoat for the reason that you said...I can wear any colour underneath and it...always works! ( A way to save time when I get ready for going to work in the morning)

  2. How fun that your earrings are different, Dan!!
And I'm a huge fan of using a different belt for the coat! I need to remember that more often!

    1. Fashion is fun, isn't it? :-)

I tried to style the raincoat also with a colourful silk scarf: not bad at all ...

  3. How surprising to wear two different earrings! I will remember that! I wear black and Blue many times, rules or no rules. And I love a rain coat like that and I also love them best in that neutral color...But the color looks awfull on me! But good on you!

  6. I get the idea although the pictures of the inside of your bag and the belt are vague. Sort of snake skin? I think it looks very good. Probably better than the original belt. Lucky you to get it at a very reduced price. I see you combined your rope handles with the new white bag now? Also nice.
Your shoes match with the belt, the bag and your blue/black outfit. Those shoes were well worth their money. I think you look lovely. Fine jewellery you made too. I will keep an eye on the jewellery shops to see whether they have picked up your trend. 😘

    1. Ha ha ... you can never know about trends!

The white bag has a closure with zip fastener in an animalier print fabric. Can have a better view of it in the previous post...

  7. Love the idea of the two different but somehow matching earrings. Of course, black and blue are very chic together! I have two trenchcoats, a neutral one like yours and a shorter green one. xxx

    1. To be honest...I first made the oval shaped earring . Since it took me quite a long time, I decided for an odd but pairing earring which I very quickly made!

  8. A good raincoat is essential in the UK - it seems to rain most days!

There is nothing wrong with your black and blue combination either.

  13. Dan,
I often use a better belt than what is provided with the coat. It is a bit of a hassle, but the look is great, so I applaud this look. I am also a big fan of black and blue, and love your earrings!
