My essential piece for spring...

If there is an essential piece, which can't miss in my spring closet, for me it is a light woolen scarf, which I use very often, to keep my neck warm...( still chilly in the morning here!)

My husband last week bought this one for me at the Armani Outlet Store. My neck is save!
This post is a  sort of tutorial for those of you who want to make themselves a similar one...

You need a very thin fabric ( 83%wool, 17%silk ) of about 300cm.x100cm.,

and about 300 small tassels (  about 104 on each long  side and 46 on each short one )

Sew the tassels and the scarf is ready! Now you have to decide how  prefer wearing it... this is my way when I want to keep my shoulders warm,

just my neck,

or , in the case of a sudden wind...also my head!     ;-)

  5. I love scarfs and this one is a beauty. You must be joking thinking anyone is going to sew so many tassles to a thin piece of fabric hahaha. Not me, I can tell you. Lovely Armani scarves are to be bought. (However wool itches when I wear it near my skin). I am slowly beginning to understand how I must wrap them. Some scarves are easier than others.

  6. I thought that it could be easy to make a similar scarf at home, but readiing your comment I burst out laughing, and , yes , I realize it would be impossible for me too !! I was overoptimistic! The fact is that the idea is very simple...
Does wool itches you?? Have you ever tried to wear a wool and silk fabric? ( it seems to be softer...)

    1. Yes dear, simple or not, there was a reason why it was so expensive in the first place. A lot of work.
I am very sensitive to wool. Good cashmere is better (high quality only.. haha). Mohair is terrible and normal wool too. Merino wool... hmmm sometimes. Wool with silk, depends I suppose.

  11. All my scarves are 'clunky' compared to your Armani. I my personal style will never evolve to the point of doing that scarf justice~ the way you certainly do! It's stunning on you.

  13. It really is marvelous! Airy, elegant and redolent of one of my (and my mom's) favourite signs of spring, delicate looking (but surprisingly hearty) pussy willow blossoms.

You always look so polished, stylish and beautiful dear, Dan.

    Have a joyful weekend!
