Walking around the city...

I have had two days off this week and I took the occasion to go to Torino for some errands to run...

and I snapped a few photos: carnival masks...

...an old chemist's I have seen...

...and one of those charming , traditionals cafes very common in Torino...

With mirrors and wooden furniture

I was wearing a bracelet I had just made

with three different kind of  stones

I like it!

And just outside the cafe, there where these mimosa plants, which are just perfect to wish you a nice woman's day!

  3. You looked perfect. Do you wear heels going into town? Brave girl. Those tights are great. With your hat and fur collar you look so cute and so young. Really nice.
Was it raining that day? The time I was in Torino (about 5 years ago) it was raining as well. What a bummer. We were staying in a lovely summer house at a lake, near the medieval town of Orta etc etc... and rain, rain, rain. Should have guessed... The environment was so green and it was in a valley.

    1. I always wear heels! ( but I have block heels and very confortable Geox shoes!)
Let's guess the brand of my hat... the answer is Furla!!
The day of the photos it was raining and to tell the truth, here the weather is quite raining (especially in spring) with cold winters (but not this year!) and hot summers. I think the best season is generally autumn...
It sound so strange to me that you came to Italy and went to Orta...is there anything interesting there? ( I have to confess I have never been there!)

    2. It was because a friend of mine (my boss as well at the time) has a holiday home in Orta. He and his wife were so taken by the area and the opportunities that they bought part of a big home that was being developed. All possible things that you can think of which can go wrong with such a deal.... did not happen. Quite the opposite: the builders did everything in their power to make things as easy and beautiful as they could. For low prices. I was astonished.
As it was a nice spot, we decided to rent the place from him. Too bad about the rain. (He felt so guilty hahaha. As if he can help it.)

    3. Oh, now I understand! That was a good occasion to see a new place... What a pity the weather was so bad!

  4. Super cute hat Dan and your whole outfit has a fun feel. Looks like a nice place to stop and have a bit to eat. I love your textured tights with this wool coat. Must still be cold where you are, very cold here. Pretty bracelet in such a wearable pink tone. You look youthful and happy!

  5. Dan, I see that you take advantage of the carnavla.
In Northern Spain these days have temporal and giant waves windy. So spring will have to wait.
You were going to the very stylish beret and a camel coat.
Sure it was a delightful evening.
    kisses

    1. I am not very fond of Carnival time...there is too mess and noise around! Camel is a versatile colour that I like as you can combine it with many bright colours! I can't wait to enjoy some warm, sunny, spring days!!

  6. The bracelet is very pretty! I had a necklace that had some of those clear/foggy beads in it, I thought it they were really unique. I need to make something to go with a dress I just ordered, I have a wedding to go to in May, thinking I would like something along the lines of "Downton Abbey" style to go with it.

Those masks are gorgeous! Makes you want to go to a party just so you could wear one like that, doesn't it?

  7. Yes, those traditional masks are really beautiful...what a pity I have no party to go!!
    p.s.
I am sure your necklace is a beauty!!

  8. What a darling hat, looks so good on you Dan! Elegance from top to toe! Wish I could join you for a cup of coffee, looks so inviting. I enjoy sidewalk cafes in the summertime. We are still up to our necks in snow and it looks like spring will never come.

  13. First off, I adore your beaded bracelet! Those colours are so pretty and bursting with the spirit of spring (very much including Easter). Next, how awesome is it that you can walk into a pharmacy that's 210 years old? No joke, that is decades older than the oldest home or building anywhere in my province of British Columbia (and older than most throughout all of Canada). Those masks truly are works of art. If I'm ever in Italy (and I very much hope I will be one day), I plan to purchase at least one of those kinds of mask to bring home and use as a decor piece.

You look really lovely (those tights are fab!), dear Dan! I hope you have a beautiful Friday and weekend ahead!

    Un bacio,
    ♥ Jessica

  14. Yes, I understand what you mean! In Italy it is so common walking in very old places that I sometimes don't realise there are places ( as America )where it isn't ! I think it would be very interesting for me to visit British Columbia!
